Hi Steve,Point taken, comparing to a grid trading EA wasn't a good example, I just wanted to say that a 330 pip SL is not all that shocking to see. The impact of a 330 pip SL should be factored into the MM. I wouldn't open a trade where 330 pips would represent more than 10% of my equity, to each their own risk threshold so just adjust accordingly.I want to go back to a point from an earlier post, if an EA has good criteria for opening a trade, it would normally go in the right direction and take a profit. Its another thing if an EA opens trades, set a 1000 pip SL and wait for it to c...

I went back and looked at the oct 18th trade that stayed open for 10 days. The drawdown on that was 286 pips. That's not that bad if you compare to some EAs that go past 500, especially the grid trading EAs.The biggest drawdown as a percentage of account balance was 16.05%. That again is quite acceptable.Looking at the opening trade SL/TP is part of the story but in no way is the whole story. There are lots of metrics we can look at. Here's one, the profit factor is 806, I'd be hard pressed to find an EA that has a profit factor higher than 5. We can go on but you get the point...

Now that its out there. Can those of you who have it let us know:1. What sort of problems you're having with it.2. What sort of results you're having demo/live with other brokerages.3. What do you think of the trade entry decision criteria, eg. after it opens a trade it goes the wrong way 90% of the time before it reverses for a profit.4. What do you think of the trade exit criteria.I'll probably pick it up next week after zulutrade transfers my affiliate pay to my paypal a/c.

Thanks cdforex, was gonna look through the trade data for biggest intra trade drawdown and seems like you have an app that does that. great.Personally I'm quite comfortable with a 16% drawdown, even 30 to 40% happens from time to time...not pleasant but it happens.John, how do you figure this for an account killer (ticking time bomb) given the track record its had so far. No one can say if that will happen since it hasn't taken a 330 pip SL yet so we don't yet know how bad this can be. If you look at the trading history it does take Stop Losses quite routinely but these have alm...

I logged in since they released the read only PW last monday and at the time there were 2 open trades. I watched and followed as they closed those for profit. Since then followed another 3 trades and all were profitable. Just from the trades closed last week they made 76 pips. That's more than Megadroid makes in a month or 2.The last 5 trades made between 10 and 25 pips profit each which is pretty respectable.

That would be the obvious reason for the results but what if we check the date and time open but use charts from say FX Pro or some other broker to verify the price movement and it checks out.Lets assume the broker is not involved cos that would be really, really fraudulent and can be easy to verify If you simply look at the charts it would completely different from charts from another broker wouldn't it?So if broker is not involved, is there any other explanation for the results?PS: I just looked at the eur/usd chart and they are identical to FX Pro which means that if they opened the tr...

This is starting to smell pretty ripe. But guys, if this was giving up some BS Photoshop doctored statement and making some unbelievable, unsubstantiated claim thatwould be one thing. And we can all smell that a mile away these days. How do we explain the Live account, the read only PW and that we can see the trades unfold live and they're making money. Granted some of the trades stay open longer than we would like but right now they've done 191 trades with only 1 having a 2.7 pip loss, rest are profitable trades. The EA has made 2991 pips since Aug 2nd, an average of 543 pips a mon...

It is possible they're going to use a Multi Account manager. I've had some experience with this kind of setup on FX Primus. The EA or signal provider vendor would have many subscribers and they all create an account on chosen brokerage, in this case it looks like FinFX is it.Accounts are added to the Multi-Account in between trades when no trades are open because it would otherwise mess up the balance, equity and available margin balances. Should not be a problem here since there are long periods of no trading. The Multi-account is treated as one large account and any trade is automati...

Well Leo Trader Pro hasn't been released yet so pricing is still unknown. However some folks seem to have read somewhere its 149. Their business model is yet to be disclosed but their marketing so far has been impressive. They were supposed to launch as of this message but they pushed back the launch to Monday 20th and in the language it hinted at being a trade replicator as Steve mentioned earlier.I've been running demo tests on FinFx since I got an e-mail from the MD guys sometime ago about how they were they best brokerage for running their EA for US folks affected by the NFA rul...

Considering that both the SL and TP were at 330 and 25 to start with for both eurusd and gbpusd its probably the opening trade default. Saw this with some of the older trades also so its not dependent on the technicals like ATR, suppor, resistance or pivot points. Its probably to give the trade some breathing room but the thing is that it picked the direction correctly in almost all but the one losing trade. The one 2.7 pip loss was a SL which means the SL was moved up and it triggered after having gone higher. Now question is how much of that 330 pip opening SL does it drawdown before the tra...

Interesting. Initially when 2 trades opened today, they went down, rebounded above the entry point and went down again. Rebounded again and went much higher. At this point they moved the SL to about 12 pips and 16 pips for gbpusd and eurusd respectively. The gbpusd stopped out with a 11.9 pip profit and the eurusd stopped out at 16.3 pips profit. Both trades had gone higher than their exit points during the trade but the trades exited profitable nonetheless. Not bad. OK am kinda, sorta impressed/interested.

Two trades open now with 330 pip SL and 25 pip TP. It could be a power out SL or one that's set so far down the brokerage can't trigger it. Lets see if it adjusts the SL as the trade progresses. Both eurusd and gbpusd have the same TP and SL.

Just had a chat with FinFX support, the mam postfix on the symbol is a micro account that they have not released yet. Could be that the EA vendors have some kind of developer relationship with them to be able to open and test with these accounts. They are probably identical to the ECN account in terms of spreads and commissions with smaller funding requirements:-------------------------------------------Our company representative will be with you in a moment. Meanwhile you can submit your question.13:49 Sampo has joined the chat.Sampo | 13:49Hi, how may I help you Raymond Ong?Raymond Ong | 1...

Hi Steve, not in front of computer right now. I'll let you know finfx's time later. Think it's gmt+2. On some of the open trades earlier it does appear the stop loss was about 330 pips. But once the trade goes positive they move it to break-even and higher. Only saw 1 trade so far, will need to observe more trades to see what it's doing. The 330 pips could either be the real or fake stop loss so need to see more trades to verify.

Just noticed something. The lot sizes started fairly conservative then they got bigger in sept, even bigger in Oct and last week they are back down to conservative again.Think they were upping the lot sizes to show the appreciation the EA could produce. After they made their numbers they turned it back down.
