Hi,Depends on what investors you are trying to attract. Small accounts will attract small fish. As most larger investors should know that psychology plays a large roll in trading and so if you aren't used to trading big money then it's probably not a good idea to trust you with it. Large amounts play horrible tricks on your mind. If you are trading 1k don't expect anyone with 100k to invest to want you to trade their money. Also on the issue of withdrawals, you should definitely do them. It validates that the account is a live account and not a demo ( although you can arrange withdr...

As I said, I don't know if it's a genuine system or not. However the guy is Russian, why would he not use a Russian broker? It's possible he's a genuine trader using a dodgy broker who doesn't realise they're dodgy. I myself have traded with a broker I honestly thought was genuine before only to have it collapse. The proof as they say is in the pudding. If and when he opens it up then judgement can be made on what the offering is and whether it works. As to virius warnings from websites, I sometimes get security warnings from websites that I know 100% to be legitimate. Y...

It all comes down to your system at the end of the day and a few things need to be looked at. Check out your Z-score which tells you how likely losses will follow losses, you can of course also check your trading history. You also need to consider your risk:reward ratio. If you have a system that could lose 20 times in a row 5% stake will blow you out. If it could lose 10 times in a row then you are down half your capital and recovering from that in effect means you have to double your capital, which is not easy. Here's an example. I used to have a pattern that historically only won 12% of t...

Hi,Demo statements have their uses, it really depends what you are trying to achieve. If you are looking to sell either a system or your services then I would recommend a live account with a reputable broker is the way forward. A demo account is really only any use for testing a strategy yourself before you put it live and then you need to pay attention to things like the expectancy of that system which will not be as high on a live account as a demo account due to slippage on order entry and exit. If you are trading manually and trying to market yourself, a live account with a substantial bal...

It's possible to make more than 50% annual returns consistently in retail trading with hard work, and with compounding the returns soon add up if you can leave some of the returns in the pot. Then you just have to ensure that you keep your profile low with each broker by spreading your profits around. You generally won't find people on here advertising or releasing the working systems as it makes absolutely zero sense to do so. Here's one for example that meets your twelve month criteria. Whether it's genuine or not I don't know as it's never been opened up to the publi...

Examining institutional traders for example performance isn't indicative of what can be achieved in retail trading. Institutional traders have to achieve results with far larger capital pools than a retail trader and also have to obey certain trading restrictions.Imagine if you will that an institutional trader is like an oil tanker, large, slow to maneuvre and difficult to stop. Retail traders are more like a speed boat and can easily zip about at will. This gives retail traders a far better chance to make higher returns. I'm not saying it's easy to make a living from retail forex...

Looks interesting and an expectancy of 6.1 pips should soak up a fair amount of slippage on live accounts. I'd certainly be interested in taking a look at this. Message me with further details please.Best regards Steve

This is an interesting discussion. I still have the 10 year backtest in my strategic history and while the EA in backtest never suffered six losing months in a row before there are plenty of times early on where it lost 3 months in a row and then not long after did so again. Analysing the backtest history for a period from 1999 - 2001 shows that the EA performed far worse overall than it has here. You can see a snapshot of this attached. Whether the EA will ever perform again remains to be seen. The main question to ask is whether you are prepared to accept the chance of sideways movement for ...

Hi Alexandr,Really sorry to hear about your loss. Here's my thoughts on it. If you are lucky and find a good trader that can generate you an average net return of 10% per month ( which would be considered a pretty good return ) then it's going to take nearly two years of compounding to get back to £200 and to be frank wouldn't be worth most traders time and effort for the reward received. If I was you I would write off the money as a lesson learned and spend some more time learning, researching and trading demo accounts until you feel you are in a better position to make inve...
Why 90% of retail traders fail...

I actually disagree with the basic tone of this article with regards to reading forums, articles, blogs etc. Sure there is some decent information out there but if 90% ( give or take a few percent ) are failing at retail trading then who's providing 90% of the content on the forums, blogs, articles etc.? I would actually put the percentage content created by losing traders as higher than 90%, as a lot of winning traders keep quiet, knowing that they are in a net zero sum game.Best regards Steve

That's what's known as over-trading. Whether it's number of trades or size of trades, if you trade "over" what you should do then expect to lose sooner or later.Best regards Steve

I'm not disputing your ability to make profit which looks fairly impressive, I'm disputing your ability to consistently make a profit every month. Which is what the thread is about. Best regards Steve

Your account made -3.29% in June and -10.28% in August. While it's impressive trading it doesn't solve the OP's original question which was "Can you consistently make 1500-2000 from 5000 each month"Best regards Steve
