Hi vishalit is ok for YOU to make such an ignorant statement about backtesting because you're not a system developper. Vavatrade case however is different because he "claims" to OWN this strategy and to have developped it.As I said, backtesingt is the ONLY way we have to evaluate a strategy , and yes backtesting can be VERY reliable IF:1) done on a time frame above 5 minutes2) done on a strategy that does not scalpas far as curve fitting and making a strategy look better, ALL that can EASILY be busted

to tell you the truth I do NOT understand what you mean !!!!backtests could be "unrelaible" IF done on low time frames "5 minutes and below" and on fast trade strategies "scalping"Since your strategy does trade with 40 pips target and 80 pips stoploss then the backtest will be VERY accurate and WILL show how reliable it is through presenting the past projections and greatly help in evaluation. I think your reply raises a HUGE red flag for me and I also think that either this ea performs horribly on backtest (which is why you do not want to show it) OR you do not r...

Hi vavatrade2I am interested in subscribing but i find it fishy that you did not post the backtest for this EA . if it is truly a winning ea thenwhy not post the backtest and show how the longterm results would really look like????????????in my opinion this ea "could" be "curve fitted" and given the fact that it uses a static target and stoploss it reminds me of FMT system with VERY similar target/stoploss setup which is indeed curve fitted and unstableand add the fact that you could earn a lot more subscribers by posting the backtest which you still did not, I don't th...

Hi batchboyTo tell you the truth, by looking at boris website and what he has accomplished, and by looking at the forex combo site, I really rather taking Boris side here.However, even myfxbook admits that it is actually possible to "fake" the results posted on their website through having the MT4 source code for example. I am not sure about anything any more about this EA so I think it is best for me to step out

I did find a proper backtest posted here on this site and I can't see an attractive enough match between the backtest and the vendor forward test. This is a modified version of Combo EA, (Confirmed), and certainly not worth the price tag... the fact that the vendor refused to admit this makes him a liar and a scammer in my book.There is plenty of reviews out there on the combo system that can help in getting an idea onwhat this EA trade logic is all about.For those who bought this EA, just do your self a favour and run this on an Alpari Pro Demo and see how it matches with the vendor accou...

HeyYou are right, its not a grid strategy, sorry about that, it was around 2:00 a.m over here when I looked at itCan we possibly see a seperate backtest for the scalp strategy and another one for the breakout strategy?I am surprised that no one has done any in-depth analysis for this EA

Hi batchboyI did have a quick comparision between your FinFX account and the vendor Alpari account and I did find a bunch of dayswere either the FinFX or the Alpari account had one, two or even three more/less trades than each other. However, whatI find quite concerning is the missing days, were the EA would stop trading for the day on one of the accounts while it actually trades on the other... which could be very dangerous for a grid trader like TFOT. Svorom, I have looked over at the forward test for both the combo and TFOT and the trade similarity are there and quite abvious.also not that both the combo and TFOT are now in sever drawdown cycle. (not so sever for the TOFT)Anyways, could someone who bought this EA please post the backtest for 2011-2012 to see if it actually match with the forward test (or at least partially match with no less than 85% match)If we do not see a match, then this EA is not worth a penny, however, if we do see a big match between the forward and backtest(which I personally highly doubt it) then this EA would def...
