Based on the size histogram, you're increasing lots after losing trades, so it's a sort of a martingale system? How many consecutive losers can it suffer before a margin call?

Forexfactory's leader-board is nonsense. They're showing random traders with random success. For example the one showing at the top has also wiped an account and has daily fluctuations of -50% - this is definitely not a successful trading system; it's only a matter of time before it busts.Traders are most likely taking huge risks just to make it to that leader-board.

EA stands for Experts Advisor. It is an automated way of trading your trading system by transferring it into program code.

I agree. Obviously it's not simply knowing how much a market will move with a specific impact, however you do get a good estimation on the coming volatility and possible effect on the market.

Let me correct myself - it is indeed good for testing new strategies, however what I meant is using it for a long time by newbie traders, getting them to lose grip from the real world.

What do you think? Nowadays, when you can open an account with as minimal as $1 deposit, does a demo account works for the best interest of the trader or not?I will clarify; the point of a demo account is to get a feel of forex trading, however it creates the psychological illusion of not caring of any losses/wins and taking enormous risk without having to confront consequences (psychological side).Short term, a new forex trader won't need to deposit any funds to try trading, however longer term, he/she is most likely to lose his/her first deposit after trading a demo as those are 2 differ...
CHALLENGE -- 1000 $ to 10 000 $ in 5 weeks is it really possible

I agree. Some think the more 'tools' they use, the better the trading system, but sometimes they miss the point of having to actually read the chart instead of thinking the indicators will do that job for them.May I know what is a market phase? Is that the type of the market, ie trending/ranging?

I do use support and resistance with no indicators at all, however reading only individual candles would literally hide the whole picture - why wouldn't I do that? Is that a rhetorical question, or is it indeed the way you trade?

I would go with myFxBook, not to mention there are much more events which help me fill in the gap when markets start moving for no reason.
Why even trade forex? Will it be useless for us traders in the coming years?

Those who know who to make money with forex will most likely not be affected by the US regulations - they will simply be forced to relocate themselves or do some kind of proxy trading to avoid the regulations.In any case, I don't think it is going away anytime soon. There are millions to be made by brokers, and this is a very accessible market for retail traders - low fees and abundance of broker choices.

I agree in most part. However, I wouldn't say it is easy to turn $200 to $400 without a proper trading system (unless of course you're simply betting the farm and trying to double it with a few trades, in that case it is pure luck).

Yeah, another reason for not sticking to your trading plan is indeed when the market is too "quiet" - I then "create" trade opportunities out of thin air.It's really hard to identify those situations as they happen - you usually notice it only after the fact, when it is too late. What do helps me is creating a check list for my trade setups and just before a trade occurs, I go over my check list and check that everything is in order. I think the urge opening a random trade happens due to a desire to see some action for adrenaline rush (just as gamblers or even extreme s...

I try to follow my trading plan, and sometimes I get distracted by psychological factors. After this happens, I try to understand why did it happen and how to prevent it from happening again, however I often find myself in the same situation over and over again.- How do you react when you trade out of your trading plan? - Do you react differently when the outcome is a winning trade versus an outcome of a losing trade? - Does it impact your trading performance?

Many systems are available freely on the web, you just need to find it. Also, you should keep in mind that strategies may be very profitable on a demo, yet unsuccessful when traded on a real account.

The experts's location is different than MT4, in case you're doing it the same. Also, make sure you run the terminal in administrator mode, or else it won't display it.
