I just checked, the downloadable file is (now) a .dllRemember to place it in experts\libraries folderIf you've got doubts about file extensions, change your fileview settings to not hide known fileextensions.Let me know if you still got problems, I can upload it for you.Cheers

I tried the converter, but despite the adaptions I had to make just to compile the d... thing, it never took a trade anyway.Hence, I have to work to figure out all the different obstacles, maybe by seeing how the converter interprets MQL4 to Java, and then have a second clean Java, where I put in the right commands one by one switching between the 2 programs and the API-documentation in my 1500+ lines program (man it's gonna take time...🙄)Regarding backtests, I've just made on AUDUSD today, starting 01.01.2010 and ending 05.09.2010 which lasted from 08:18 to 12:51, roughly 4&fr...

Hi Gil, thanks for your comments.As a result of them, Ill try to make backtests of all 28 symbols and merge them with Report Manager, just to give an idea of how far the rabbithole goes (especially around May, if I understand it correctly). I believe it'll take a few days, but I'll try to discipline myself enough to see it through.In the meantime, Ill look more into JForex API, and see if I can figure out to make the exact same EA to work with Dukascopy, and use their historical tester to get a more precise result...CheersSoeren

Gil, if you're still taking a look sometimes, I just summed my actual deposits to 4492 cents, the rest is welcome bonus, rebate and interest. Nice to be able to utilize bonuses to trade and get a profit that way around. Currently it means I'm up by more than 6% in Equity 😉.What do you think about the drawdown, I know it's a lot when looking at a glance, but when you realize it's trading 28 symbols, does that mean the average DD is 1-2% per symbol, or is that a wrong way to see things?As an example, the historical range for AUDUSD is 4514 pips (history from 1989.06.01), ...

Hmm, it makes my system look worse than it is. I'm trading the all-history grid and in this case, it's expexted to have orders open for a very long time and huge DD even though it (in theory) comes back in the end for a "small" profit. The trading gridlines and orderlotsizes is based on the full range and Equity, and there's no problem having prolonged drawdown. The danger is, when the currencies move beyond their historical boundaries, like the EURCHF, CHFJPY and the USDJPY, but my strategy involves diversification to make profits anyway, along with the widening of gridl...

That one isn't actually making me feel any better...Now you advertise a scalper that, from what I can see, sets a 300 pip SL! trading 4 currencypairs with 0.1 lots taking 1200$ loss if they all hit the red marker...I know 25% profit a month is very nice, but taking 50% capital risk on a single trade is not safe long-term trading, that's gambling!But I'll wait and see in 8 months, it'll be fun for you laughing in my face, bringing home the profits.😉Soeren

Somehow, I find it odd that brokers would try to prevent succesfull traders making money, since higher balance usually means higher volume, hence higher earning for the broker aswell, somehow they're killing their own business...Regarding Instaforex, they have a nice bonusprogram - 30% nonwithdrawable bonus on all net deposits, that means instead of having 1000$ to trade with you have 1300$ (maybe) making you able to earn more profits. It seems like it's found a steady level of 30-40% drawdown, so the first months won't bring in any profits. I expected this, but if it can get the 6% a month in the long run, I'm happy :-)CheersSoeren

I think it's very risky to bet 10% of you equity on a single trade (if you have set the starting SL to 50 pips like your TP) and 50 % (with 250 pips SL) is gambling on black or red on the roulette...In my opinion, you should risk 2% at the most, I know you will profit less, but at least it safe!CheersSoeren
