I agree, retail forex is such a small portion of the equation. I don't know why they bother actually.

They're Canadian...I struggle to tell the difference as well, they all look the same to me! But ask any Canadian and they'll correct you quite passionately...

What I want to know is why do people call it a forward test when it is in fact a test. There is no such thing as a forward test.A back test, tests the past. A tests, tests the present. A forward test would test into the future. Not possible.

I'm going to be the first person here to put down a losing system and leave it on....whooohooo!!If a system wipes out leave it. Can learn as much from that as a winning one. Everybody has a few of those in their past. No shame in that. Can't learn to ride a bike without falling off. War scars are to be shown off!!

lol...Biz, they can't. The most basic freedom of them all is denied US citizens. Unless the US government agrees US citizens can't give up their citizenship. Only country in the world where you can't.Best way forward for them is offshore companies or trust funds in offshore jurisdictions. Expensive. Bout $5000 US a pop. Getting very difficult for them and these new rules will close retail fx to them. They'll have to start trading options on fx on the CME which is off course the goal here. US is closing the retail fx industry. No doubt about it. Whatever their stated goals are. ...

One of the banks did 22000% in a single year on a fx account not so long ago.Theres' one trader here that's approaching 1000% per annum. It's very possible. Just not probable.

Oops, may mistake.I see some are doing better. I looked at the wrong figure. So keep going!But personally I wouldn't accept a 50% draw down for anything less than 1000% per annum.

Fortenova,Had a quick look at how your systems are doing. If they all closed out today you'd have barely made more than inflation rate for the same period. And you're taking all that risk. Be better to put your money in a bank my friend. You're not making money. That one has an absolute gain of 10% after 6 months. The another one 6% I think. I work on inflation about 7% per annum ( don't believe what the government tells you). So if you're lucky and the 50% draw down doesn't become 100% and wipe you out, you'd have made 20% and 12% for the year minus that inflation...

Warren Buffet did about 30% per annum I believe on average. You'll be at least as rich as him then...Pretty good going I reckon.

I think my ISP is buggering around. Yesterday I couldn't even get on the net almost. There's a new firefox out. Download it, maybe it helps. I also changed away from firefox believe it or not. I'm using Opera which is in another league completely. Amazing that so few people know about it.

Well, I got some serious comm's from IBFX. The US forex companies are getting organized. They're going to fight. To me its like farting against thunder. No point, US goverment just going to steam roller them.I think the agenda here is bigger than a small minority fx traders. They're moving for some bigger picture. I guess I need to move. It's become such an unstable environment to try operate in. Only going to get worse. And I think London will follow in some way.The east is calling my portfolio. Stupid farangs have gone nuts. I can say that of course, because I'm one. But ...
