after pricre failed to break 100.72, i shorted it at around 100.60 for 35-40 pips. added 1%

100-100.21 is resistance. If it goes up there is possibility of very low risk entry. same with short opportunity. it is a range.

oil went down along with massive sell off in equities. I wonder, should I check on them today as well. I mean SPY. I am watching it anyway but never use it for decision on oil.

I stopped trading at night and trade only Nymex session now. Miscalculated yesterday's move. As it looks everything went down, not just oil.I am neutral for now.Old thread is back. and I am back here :)

something strange. now I cannot open orders with MT4 on my PC. I see that new orders are idle and not active. Tomorrow hopefully will reinstall XP on my PC instead of Windows 7. Nothing is working properly. will be looking for trading opportunities from the office after 9:30 a.m.

No no, I do not participate in contests... My task is to reduce risk now. live account will be relatively small for trading size I need to get better entries with smaller risk. contest just messes psychology which is I do not need. and I think it is senseless.

goals for June to reduce pip and % wise risk per trade and increase hit rate and obviously to be profitable.

this is what I told, you trade no signals. I guess you are doing baskets of currencies and your stop is most probably some % of your total balance or may be leaving those fat tails in fractions. I have only guesses but outside of my oil trading I came to conclusion that hard stops per instrument might be useless and basket and stop of % of the total balance might be better idea.with my oil account I always use hard stops.

I never liked their charting software either. But overall Oanda's worst drawback is that it is US company and it does not provide access to commodities.

Grim, when are you leaving?I would say you are lazy but good lazy 😁It will be interesting how your investment will be growing but I suspect your is not a regular bot. It doe snot use signals to go long or short, right? I started getting an idea about what trading baskets might look like.

I wonder why not to close position at loss once wrong and short the bastard. It is pretty obvious once certain levels/ trend lines broken higher highs patterns broken that things changed. so, why to let this lump on the back grow. I have no idea. Generally it is a newbie decease and one who aspires to trade OPM should be able to cut any trade gone wrong like nothing.

Yep, consistency is a key. To be alive and kicking those 3-5% monthly for 1-2 years is a show of skill. Pamm guy has problem with cutting losses. It is no good.

The truth is, it is not guaranteed that after putting aside those hard earned money to be able to pay bills with 5% monthly return the guy will not lose it all as having funds to trade doe snot mean the skills is there...If someone doe snot have the funds to make a living the only way is to develop skills. Smaller amounts than those that Buffet has doe snot mean that trader should aim at doubling tripling accounts as math is not working like this. 30-50% annually would be great and would certainly attract investors thus making good life for them and for the trader who possess necessary skills ...

LOL, it is why probably brokers tend to make troubles for scalpers, cause they do not have time to hedge this loss 😁 Isn't it better to let Mr. Broker hedge losing trade against your position with help from some sucker and then to have absolutelly no problem withdrawing your hard earned profits ? 😲
