I used to think this was one of the best strategies on myfxbook. Sometimes I wonder if the successful strategies here are simply just lucky. All the ones that do not succeed simply would be deleted. But this system compared to a lot is still pretty good. Saying that my faith in forex as a long term investment is not that high. Overtime 4 years plus it appears that all strategies eventually go into large drawdown.

Just got an email:The GBPJPY 5-Min Scalper is ready for download!Although "GBP/JPY 15-Min Trend-Following" is doing ok for now. You really need to test this for a lot longer before I would consider buying it.

I have just completed v2, this should be less riskier and make more profit. No more then 16% draw down and more than 2% per week.It use's 4 strategies.1 scalper at only 3 pips per trade. Less then a ms to the data center IC Marksts. Takes only 6 percent risk estimated.2 Martingale, this has been refine significantly. 16 percent.3. Breakout strategy. estimated 16% drawdown4 and probably the best strategy is manual. This looks for a reversal in the direction of fundamentals.1-2 percent er trade. not sure what the drawdown is on this strategy, I am guessing 70-80% at 1:1. This is the be...

Hi forexgermanyWhat VPS do you use and what kind of ping do you get from icmarkets from where you are?I am trying the ea at the moment but my results were not the same as yours but still profitable so far.I am running 3 instances of mt4 on it, which I may have to re-think. I set the scalper to the highest cpu priority, but may need a dedicated vps. I will test with the other EA's turned off at that time to confirm.Regards,

Testing on test system now, will see if it works but to be honest the balance is too low, but dont want to risk to much yet. Also cent acccounts are fulll of crap, at least the one I tested on, the spread was supper hih and on a minute chart was way off IC markets. I had to maually trade it back into profit. I suppose it was only 100USD but still.

once 3 years optimisation is done I will do a walk forward between the default set and the optimised set. If the optimised set wins I will use it.

Even though its trading more pairs its actually safer if the is no highly volitle news.

Will do a yearly optimisation on all 28 pairs over 3 years with tick data. It takes 2:17 minutes per pass, so it will take around 3 weeks. With only small changes.

The reason why the max baket drawdown is much greater then the total is that you could have one pair at -23 but 3-4 pairs at +5 which over 3 years sgnificantly reduces total drawdown. I will have hard limits based on these numbers also. 6 percent on total and 30% per basket. What ever comes first.

I also need a close all before highly volatile news events. Probably the only ones IC markets warn against.The system can survive most other events.

OK this is the last part.3 years back tests with 28 all pairs un-optimizedEstimated basket drawdown = 30% of current balanceEstimated total drawdown = 6% of current balanceActually in back tests it was 69 percent individual and 38% totalI filtered but the top 75% then got the most out of that 75. The other 25 could have been due to abnomiliesMajor news which I would have avoided anyway mostly the berix news even. So these I consider abnomilies which I will noot include into the totals.If I take 75% percent again the 38% goes right down to 4. I rounded to 6 percent.Now need to write code to ...
