Of course it is!That would explain that then, does raise an interesting point though. I don't verify my private accounts and I'm guessing that some other people might not bother either.

The Map is wrong by the way.I'm currently short on both GbpUsd and EurUsd and it's showing nobody in short positions in the UK for those pairs. You've also called France, Tromelin Island.

Yes, but depending on where they fell in the trading cycle and whether you were compounding or not it might not be pretty. If you suffered a 30% drawdown at the end of the two months you would be worse off than when you started if you were compounding. In fact if you were compounding and managed to get through six months without any drawdown stop losses and you were then unfortunate enough to suffer two 30% drawdowns one closely followed by another - which is actually a lot more likely than getting them spaced apart from each other - you would only be 23% up on your account. Which admittedly is ...

The question then I guess is how often a 30% drawdown would occur then

My guess is it's an arbitrage EA. Taking advantage of slower price feeds on demo servers. This type of EA is very hard to get working with any reliability on a live broker.

From reading this thread I get the feeling that some people aren't aware that average trade holding times are visible on the bottom set of charts by clicking each month. In general Ranesh on average seems to be holding positions for an average of around a day or so, in one case there was a month where the average holding time was over a week I think.

Attached is an interesting screen print I took of cable run that was running on another popular MT4 publishing site before the current Profitable FX system was started.Just thought I'd make you aware.I did ask the developers about this version and they said it was an earlier version of Cable Run.

I was going to make a joke about it being a basket case of trades but that would be too cruel.

Completely disagree, you can have a system that only wins 10% of the time and be successful and you can have a system that is right 90% of the time that blows an account. It's the relationship between risk/reward ratios, success rate and money management that is important.
Maximum Difference between Equity and Growth

I realise you are still working on the equity curve to get more than just end of day figures on the charts. However, I think it would be useful if you could calculate out the maximum difference between equity and growth. Then could you add a filter for it on the system selection, so people would be able to filter out the systems that are massively into drawdown and also the systems that have at some point or other experienced massive drawdown at end of day?

Casey, my criticism comes from the fact that it uses a staking system that is dangerous.Any EA that uses a staking plan that adds to a losing position is just waiting for a black swan event to come along and wipe the account.Just like martingale EA's, these systems appear to have a nice steady upward equity curve that lures people in with the promise of a steady predictable return on their investment. However the problem is that all the equity drawdown gets saved up until the end when it sucks the account dry. They also reinforce bad trading habits. If you get used to the idea that it'...

This account hasn't been updated since September 26th.Attached an image of the open trades on this account at that date and the current state of affairs on Gbp/Jpy.It's currently about an extra 640 pips in drawdown from what it is currently showing. Unless it's closed them for a loss. There are some other posts on the site about Crescendo. You might want to go and read them.
