Yes thats true when we stay working with same lotsize, but in theory if we use mm (Lots grow with balance) and for instance a deposit of lets say 8500 then it should work with the same percentage growth per month and should look as fabulously. :) But the problem is that we probably not want to take such high risk capital if we are not sure enough of the blow-up to happen, and 85 is not such problem to loose.In stead of your max of 5 levels deep i am currently backtesting 40 levels deep with smaller martingale factor and play with griddistance on 5 minute TF. Hi Gil,For Obito's other blessing systems he says that he use default setting and sometimes change grid setting to suitable with pair movement range, and play with lot setting to suitable with trading funds. I tried this myself but did not get the >100% per month results wthout EP hit. Did you find some decent settings ?

Hi DoubleTrap,Thank for your ideas.I never used The 5th Element, and the one above is the 2000 pips daily EA. Yes Bles 3 is very versatile. I am testing for a while with blessing 3 V3.7-6. I think b3 is the best ea from wich i did tests so far, it has different martingale capabilities together with the many functions build in. Currently i am testing different strategies on small TF with this EA. There is still big floating loss at some times, i try to backtest and optimize 10 years and find a setting that dont blow the account but i am experiencing that this is very difficult for small TF. To make an addition to your question here , it was a storm of 343 pips in one day, and you see the result. I'd like to discuss how we can create a matingale system that can withstand such bad days . (i stil love the martingale principle) I suppose it should be a combination of diversification pairs, perhaps hedging pairs, basket profit (that takes profit of all pairs at once), smarter grid distance for martingale, probably smaller TF and only limited times for opened trades, only minutes in stead of hours or even days. Today 1 july 2010 the EURUSD went straigt up around 3% (went from 1.21937 straight to 1.25364) so martingale kept going against the trend and opened max lots of 10.24 wich blown the account. Today the Balance dropped form its high at $17,555.06 to only $ 1.21

Yes i indeed saw its 6 pair in one account, it is a lot. Although i am not sure how this hedge EA exactly hedges and how/when profit is taken, this 500 pip shoot up should normally not be a problem, this situation is pretty common, for instance 7 may same pricemove. As far as i read on the site here http://www.fulltime247.com every position is completely hedged no matter what price does, the margin keep good. In theory this is correct and margin should stay good when large dd for eur/usd because the hege will compensate. But perhaps the hedge did somehow fall away in this DD period for a short...

Yes thats possible, let say it this way: Assume this situation: The price of GBP/USD keeps trending down heavily against your open position in GBP/USD (while your EA has a floating 6th martingale step open in GBP/USD), is hedge the way your EA keep margin still at good levels?Or perhaps the EA has no hedge capability at all? I dont say that it needs, i just try to learn and was wondering because as far i understand from you is that your ea is protected for sudden fast price against your position that result in fast growing open loss that may cause margin call like my marty EA overcame. I understand that basket profit is the key word, but as far as i know is that basket profit does not prevent this always. Tried to see your holding time for the trades but could not find it, most of your details are set private. Does your EA use Timeout function? My EA has it, but was not set, also equitystop was not set in above curve. Currently my EA does not support basket profit, perhaps it should be added.

Until now the curve looks good, i see u use 4 Pairs. Although i can't see DD as equity-chart, did equity stay complete out of "danger zone" in this period?How does the EA handle floating loss when price keeps going against the max open martingale lots ? (You see what happened with mine...)

EA that watches equity would be good, my idea is to use for instance 10 martingale type eas in one account (ten different pairs) and when one ea hits max equity DD it should automatically closing his positions and stop trading a while, so it prevent blow the account further and similtaniously the other 9 EA's still build equity and so overcome the loss caused by the loosing one.
