OK, I have the same then.As you are here, this is another question I have posted and emailed support:A sell trade opened yesterday on EURUSD (so 1 did :-)) without a take profit target and it remained so for a while until I have manually modified it by entering a take profit value in it. The same trade (same order number) was then modified I guess by the EA and the TP target was changed. It has since closed at a small profit. Is it normal that a trade is entered without a take profit target?Did Tom's EA modify it afterwards?

Dustin (?)I have posted in the forum and sent an email to support with no reply yet.The EA does not seem to open any shorts as the euro plunges? Fair enough to go through the pain of the longs :-) but let's hedge? I do not have any shorts open, all my open trades are longs (5 of them).Is it possible that the settings are wrong (ie non-hedging a/c)

Is anyone experiencing massive DD out there? would be interesting to post them.Mine is currently hovering between 8% and 10% Max ever experienced 12%

HI, mmm interesting, did not noticed the chart.At this moment, my DD is around 8% but it has touched 10%. I can imagine some heart attacks though. EURUSD is truly plunging. At least we will get a picture of how the EA behaves in extreme circumstances.Dustin, why is the chart off?

Hi Nessa1,I am also of the "glass full" school and like paulrozza think that an EA should be part of an overall plan, not the only mean to riches :-) Also I agree with fughe when he says that manual trading should be learned before relying on an EA.But I am also interested in your views on how could Tom's wipe an account? What would the circumstances have to be?Currencies do not gap like stocks or do not go limit up/down like future contracts, are quoted 24/5 and stops are guaranteed.I am not sure, under these circumstances and in this working environment, what could happen where...

Well said, Paul.Nessa1, you are amongst a few people that warn users of a possible account wipeout. I am relatively new to automated trading but I cannot see how this would work. Perhaps I am missing something.Tom's does not seem to me to be a software that will give you a wipeout overnight (not on microlots, anyway) while you are sleeping, leaving with a nasty morning surprise. Therefore, any "wipe out" due to strong trend without retrace would have to occurr over a period of time. On microlots and with 5k or even 10k capital, that would have to be a substantial period of time. ...

Thank you...Dustin?Now, give credit where credit is due! I wanted to mention here how well I feel Tom's EA has coped in the last couple of days. I have to say I am very happy with it.I am trading above the recommended risk level and yet I end the week with several profitable trades banked both on Thursday & Friday and with an open balance DD below 3%! CanAmI agree with you on honesty, disclosure and open trades. Actually, I forgot to check if the open trades were public now. Dustin, you did say you would do that in a previous post.Making the Tradency account trades open is not the same. I have a Tradency demo and an EA demo and they perform very differently (in favour of the EA) I think it would be good to have the eA open trades public to compare. I agree with Fughe, the secrecy aura around any requests for information is a negative.However, Dustin has made big steps on this forum and the EA has been performing well in mine and all other accounts I have seen. 5 stars for me.

HI all, I have asked customer service for the magic numbers of Tom's EA and I have received the above reply. (Dustin?)I wanted the magic numbers as I am now running more than one EA and want to make sure the MN are different. In addition, I have enabled custom analysis by magic numbers on myfxbook and it would appear than the EA is using 3 MN rather than one.I wanted to make sure which is which.Are MN normally a matter of secrecy? (I am not sure). Tom's EA MN seem to be clearly displayed in myfxbook and all other developers were very forward with theirs. Am I not getting something?

HI all, Is it only me noticing a sharp decline in activity? I am aware that trading conditions recently are very different from previous weeks but the decline in activity is drastic if we compare to the last few weeks. Fughe, thank you.I have looked into MDB but it does not agree with my broker. Actually, scalping doesn't.... However, I want to keep the broker as I want to stay in spreadbetting and the choice is not vast :-( I will look into the others.
