I tried running only the 5 profitable versions (according to magic number analysis) and it still performed badly. Vendor: please fix the update - attach the myfxbook EA. I haven't given up on this entirely just yet...

That's interesting Aplmustdie, I've been watching Fancy Bot - looks like it may be more stable then Invest Bot. What's your opinion on Fancy Bot? And well done on making a profit on what seems to be a rough couple of months for most EAs.

I've turned it off for now, 20% loss in one day is not acceptable. Hopefully the vendor will update the EA to make it more stable... Is anyone else confused by how this EA operates? I put the lot size at 0.6 and I've seen it open lots of 0.2 up to 1.2, I'm not even sure there's a limit on the maximum basket size.

Well if you look at Birt's (above) live MDP account it's been loosing since Oct 2012. It was working great for a while, but obviously it doesn't suit current market conditions.

This is definitely one of the best FH accounts I've seen. 34% DD is not bad considering the pairs you're running. Do you turn it off over holiday periods?

But look how much percent it dropped rob559 - almost 100% drop. That would wipe most accounts.

I'm wondering if this EA actually performs better forward testing? The backtest will not take into account the max spread filter will it? That might actually filter out a few loosing trades in real time?

Let me update what I said earlier... Do NOT set recovery to true - on further backtesting I found even at MM 1% it blows the account. Also the default stop loss (70 pips) does turn out to give the best long term results.

I was almost going to ask for a refund but I stuck with it and played with the settings. I found putting recovery to 'true' and auto MM to 5 it is profitable with not too big a draw down. SL is too big at 70 pips IMHO, try 50-60. Late Friday usually causes a SL hit so have decreased Friday open hour. Would like to do more back testing but my data feed is rubbish...

The goal of compounding is to increase your earnings capability - but patience is the key as I've found out the hard way, it's wise to reduce your risk as your account grows. The other side of the coin is that the bigger your account - the lower the amount of leverage is available: so I'm thinking (I haven't got there yet) in the future when (if) I get to 25k I'll split that into two accounts so as to keep the 400X leverage. Only hassle is having to buy more licences for retail EAs. So basically what I'm saying is rather then continually grow and compound one accou...

Your English is fine :-)That will definitely help reduce drawdown on the main account. For me and my account size the risk of using FH is just too much. One thing I've learned is never think it can't happen - for example: never think GBP/USD won't have a 400 pip move without a retracement. So I'm no longer using any EAs which use grid and or martingale. I've just started using Forex Invest Bot and Universal MA Cross EA. That way I figure as I grow my account I can more safely increase lot sizes, without the fear of having a huge blowout (like I've had twice in the pa...
