Just a quick note....I have noticed recently that when I have all 4 trades open (running 1.5% risk with max trades of 4) and the market moves against MDP.....i get the red warning background for margin call alert (on IBFX it kicks in a 125% margin level). I hope I never have to find out, but I believe that in a 50:1 leverage account.....1.5% risk at a full stop loss may be triggered at the same point of a margin call. I just had an idea that may possibly keep from losing lots of money due to run away bad trades.....

Alright.....since the developer isn't being 100% up front....I decided to dig around a bit. I am looking at the code now and the risk is calculated as.....the initial position size is in direct proportion to the account size. Risk 1 = 10%, risk 2 = 20%, risk 3=30%. The calculation is account (equity * risk%)/10,000,000. So.....in my case, I am running risk of 1 with a $40,000 balance. 40,000 * 0.1=4,000 then....4,000/10,000,000=40,000 SO....the position size is $40,000 or 0.4 lot.Now....At one point in time I had changed the risk to 2 on the GBPUSD, and then later changed it back to 1 be...

I agree with 4X_MANAGER at least partially. There are 2 other possibilities. #1-it could be that price feed differences are causing it to take different trades (highly unlikely as it is not a high speed scalper). #2-However is running the account is manually intervening and just not telling everyone the entire truth. The second is HIGHLY likely due to the small losses you see taken every now and then throughout the test history. Alright......To give the new traders to the market some perspective on the insanity of martingale drawdowns..... Today the market was bound in a fairly tight range and closed almost exactly where it opened. I had 4 positions closed today, all on the USDCAD pair for a total of about +$500. During the market craziness my drawdown fluctuated tremendously. At the lowest point of the day, I had a DD of approx -$8,000 , and the DD is currently at about -$18,000. One other thing, minimum risk is apparently using 1:1 leverage. i say that because on a $40,000 account, it is opening 0.4 lot positions

This would be entirely due to your broker. MDP has absolutely nothing to do with this problem. I am going to have to second MistiFX in saying that you need to find a new broker.

Also, i would like to add......DO NOT fool yourself into thinking that you will let it run and watch for it to keep it from getting into a big drawdown. Martingale systems are well known for getting into big drawdowns before you realize how bad it actually is. By the time you realize that the market is in a hardcore trend, the DD will already be half your account. New traders....you have been warned.

Well, I finally decided to kill the EURJPY pair. It looks like we are in for a few hundred more pips to the downside and it started opening some big lot sizes far too closely spaced. So, I bit the bullet and killed the trades. Altogether, the loss was in the order of about $15,000 on the EURJPY pair ONLY. Some of those trades were in excess of -600 pips. So......one month.....all 6 pairs gained $20,000 and one pair that started trending strongly wiped out $15,000, and it would probably have been much, much more if I had let it run. So far, I have traded with FXOpen (micro and ECN), FinFX (STP and ECN), FXCM (micro), and IBFX. IF you disregard the leverage and no hedging limitation to put all brokers on equal ground, IBFX has proven to be the best. There are enough new and hopeful people in the market that they will sell plenty of copies. My test account is currently up by about $20k and the drawdown is about $21k. How bad of a drawdown can you get??? From my experience, martingales drawdown alll the way.

There were 2 possible trade signals that I saw. one right after market open, and another within a few hours. Without knowing for certain wait time their account trades on, it is hard to determine which one it is.
