PLEASE RESPECT the posting criteria of this thread as detailed in POST #1:"The criteria :1) The account must be real - no demo's. (please do not argue here that it is the same as a live acc. etc - the idea is not to engage in any arguments)2) The account must be verified (please do not come and defend your unverified-but-want-to-participate account - there will simply be no interest)3) DD must not be higher than 40% - (please. Once again. No justification for your above 40% dd, if it is higher - don't participate)4) The account must be older than 3 months, maybe this is even still...

TO GAIN at least 5-10% a month, every month. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Excellently summarized by @Professional4X. I would just translate the above metaphor of the imaginary coin landing on its edge to the more commonly used "black swan" phenomena manifesting as occasional flash crashes when even hard stop losses can be totally useless and the actual losses can be much larger than the total funds sitting on the account. In other words: with leveraged accounts traders have to accept the looming risk of the total loss of the account whenever a trade is open; by another metaphor the "Sword of Damocles" hanging over each and every trade.

In my opinion the majority of retail traders will move to 1:400 leverage Australian or off-shore brokers instead of increasing their margin 10x(!) and staying with their current EU-CRIPPLED brokers.Partly, because it is much easier and partly because IF they had 10x more risk capital they would have ALREADY been trading with those funds.

@TiffanyK You are right, trading can be a socially more acceptable disguised gambling addiction. A friend of mine has committed suicide due to trading related losses and threats from loan sharks. It was pretty sad. Nevertheless, ESMA regulations will be easily bypassed by traders with addiction problems, i.e. by those who feel the irresistible urge to trade/gamble with funds they cannot afford to lose simply by moving their accounts to ASIC regulated or off-shore brokers. It is simple as that.So what will the ESMA regulations achieve finally in this regard...? Seriously... My guess is that it ...

It needs an exceptionally unemotional trader to handle trades with a ""cool head"" especially while handling large funds. So for the most of us - i.e. who are not exceptional - unemotional automated trading is a the only path to success.

It is pretty obvious that IT IS NOT about protecting retail traders' (from themselves), because with the same logic the EU should ban ALL online and brick-and-mortar casinos, horse race betting and even lottery.Since retail traders - as a group - lose more than earn from trading (incl. spreads and commissions), there will be a huge income loss for brokers and tax loss for the EU, while traders will find a way to continue trading with high leverage outside the EU. So the logic - the hidden motive - is still unclear.

@togr As far as I know - from insider info - most brokers "B-book" accounts under $50k and especially those ones which trade smaller lot sizes. They simply cannot send fraction lots to the wholesale market, so they aggregate and "B-book" retail clients' trades which naturally lead to imbalance after some time as the number of buyers and sellers are different, which imbalance (risk exposure) they MAY compensate by periodically rebalancing their net positions through Liquidity Providers (LPs).The other reason they "B-book" and take the risk is because of the sta...

Yes, indeed. Welcome to the ""Hall of Fame""!Nevertheless, I need to add that TICK SCLAPER strategies are know to have a short lifespan at ICM because market maker brokers are known to add virtual dealer plug-in parasite software to profitable accounts. The bottom line is that small accounts are B-booked and B-booking brokers don't tolerate moneies taken from their pockets. With tick scalpers they don't have a chance to make profit while B-booking.Also, even though the time span of the shown account fulfills the stated conditions, 67 trades are simply too small in nu...

@patrickx @challenger Thanks for the clarification both of you.Apparently, FxGiants is an FCA regulated subsidiary of the insolvent Cypriot broker IronFx Global Ltd. with one of the worst reviews on ForexPeaceArmy. Go figure...@challenger The only ways to make profit BY LOSING LOTS OF PIPS is Martingale or Magic. At least as far as I know. If there is any other way, please educate us.Here is an excerpt from your strategy's Advanced Statistics as PROOF of MARTINGALE (or Magic). And NO NEED to reply anymore:https://www.myfxbook.com/files/FxMasterGuru/Proof_Ly.jpg

@challenger Well, at least I don't brag about them - even though both of them are profitable. But more importantly, they are running at an FCA-regulated broker, not at a SCAM BROKER like yours, the INFAMOUS off-shore FxGiants:http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-reviews/12665/www.fxgiants.co.ukOff-shore scam brokers are well-known to ""hand-craft"" irrealistic and fantastic results - like yours - to lure in unsuspecting clients. So I have to assume that you are an agent of FxGiants in disguise, and I challenge you to reproduce the same results at any ASIC or FCA regulate...

So probably the Aussie brokers will benefit from the stupidity of the EU. (Except for Pepperstone and AxiTrader.)I guess the next logical move of the EU will be limiting the maximum bets in European CASINOS probably to 1 Euro per bet... 😁

Off-shore operations have been historically "untouchable" by outside authorities, so I doubt that the EU the can do anything about them. Nevertheless, should this unlikely scenario play out, then TRADERS can also go "off-shore" and it would be practically impossible to limit off-shore brokers to provide high leverage for their "LOCAL" customers...I would also add that the impending exodus of EU traders will jeopardize not only the traders (as mentioned before), but it will also put MANY retail brokers out of business, resulting in lost jobs and lost licensing &...
