I guess you are right. It was mainly a theoretical question to see and SHOW to the public what are the real chances of "Average Trader Joe' to make a living by trading Forex.Comparing to the performance of the world's best private hedge funds (with 20-40% yearly profit), the stated 60-70% stable gain per year sounds like a fantastic performance. And probably it is fantastic, as for now, nobody could show such a strategy. So what are the chances of "Average Trader Joe" to surpass the performance of the best hedge fund managers' surrounded by the best technical analysts...

The QUESTION remains: Can anybody show a VERIFIED LIVE account on MyFxBook with at least 5% average monthly profit for AT LEAST 2 YEARS and with less than 25% max. DD using a non-Martingale strategy...?

Although the history is less than a year, multiplying the average monthly profit and the max. DD by 2, the numerical results are nice.

It seems that the EA has multiple trade setups on practically every day, however, it is strange that on backtests between Febr. 8-15 and March 04-14 there was no single trade triggered. Was the EA stopped for those days or it is just happened so?Thanks!

I suggest going with a LIVE account for at least 6 months. After that you may get some investors. Why would anybody invest in your PAMM if you don't even have the courage to risk your own money...? Come on! Have some common sense!

Thanks for the feedback Mike. I have used this type of hedging strategy, but when the market started fluctuating around the hedging positions' entry and exit prices, the hedging EA started chewing up the account in small pieces like a piranha. My questions:1. How do you prevent what I have described above?2. Is it a calculated risk and you just plan to tough it through the end until the market moves out of the hedging position's range? In this case what was the worst historical DD created by the hedging position? Thanks,FMG

Based on the trade analysis, the account balance DD was probably much less than 90%, as the BUY hedging position stepped in action to counteract the open loss of the SELL position.Nevertheless, as Jarora stated it correctly: "The hedging technique is for death of scalping strategy." confirming what I had mentioned previously.

Thanks for the feedback, SIM. You are one of the very few traders who can make consistent profits on Forex, probably 5-6k USD per month plus the commissions from your investors.According to the statistics only 5% of such traders can do that. Congratulations to you for finding your way to this unique club, whatever the nature of the strategy you use (even if Martingale)!Best regards,FMG

Congratulations, SIM!My revised question was: "Can anybody show a VERIFIED LIVE account on MyFxBook with at least 5% average monthly profit for AT LEAST 2 YEARS and with less than -25% max. DD...?"SIM's posted MyFxBook link shows: Average profit: 5.05% with a max. DD of -24.01% over the past 3 years, which fulfills the above criteria. It reassuring to see that there is at least ONE such strategy on MyFxBook. Thanks SIM for sharing the link!On the other hand the posted strategy uses Martingale money management and apparently very well, as the account has not blown up for practical...

The hedging technique is clear from the trades dated January 29th and 30th.This time it had worked out nicely, but what happens if the market decides to linger around the price level of the hedging position, stopping out and reentering it (with 3 pips SL in this case) on numerous occasions, again and again...??Well, I know the answer from first hand, as I created such a "Hedging EA" (to compliment a Martingale EA to prevent its inevitable demise). It did work well for a while, but at one point the market started to go sideways for a prolong period of time hitting the hedging EA's...
