If 5min works for you great,experienced trader can operate in any time frame,I think a way of getting around the stress at low levels especially for new traders,risk very little until you become sure of what your doing.

shorter time frames are nothing but noise,used as an entry point for a longer time frame move,1hr and 4hr charts as used by professional traders since day one everyone should know this basic stuff.If your scalping on 1min time frames your moving in and out of positions quickly on your experience and skills not on a strategy.The psychology does not disappear by using longer time frames,but you do get a better sense of direction and do catch bigger moves,If you do not watch your trades you are doing so at your peril and will learn nothing.That does not mean looking at your screen every minute,yo...

Lots of websites on news,the list is endless,you can watch Bloomberg just to get used to the lingo and a quick overview,as you become more experienced you will learn to pick out the important stuff worth investigating.I also look at MorningBrew,yahoo finance,marketwatch etc.One thing though by the time you get news the moves have already played out or began.

Euro is on a serious bull run,US data looks pretty bad for now,will have to wait and see what Draghi says at the next meeting,like I said months ago this Euro is going to need some serious talking down to see parity.

Market orders are filled first for matching purposes or T7 is used,limit orders and quotes are sorted next,it doesn't matter the size,it depends how fast there system can match your order!but there are other systems ,pro rata,PRA,TPRA are just some.The settings can be changed to suit the broker.They can see all of your account information,trade something no ones heard of ,you won't be noticed:)

The phones start ringing before the news comes out,your buddy in Tokyo is screaming at you down the phone!"SELL,SELL,SELL". Larger orders are more difficult to close around disasters but they are first in line,its been known for traders to close the wrong positions or hit Buy instead of Sell at times like you describe,brokers servers aren't fast enough to keep up with the orders at a time like this,I'm sure you have seen on charts where the price has jumped through major support areas with missing bars.At the end of the day its up to the broker weather they honour stop losses...

What a day yesterday was,a real bullish move,lucky I had tight stop losses with low leverage,we are short at 1.1800 stop loss 1.1805.

Its true fake accounts are easy to set up,verified means nothing because the figures can be set to what ever one wants,plus removing people from the site wont stop idiots posting dream like returns from an EA.You cant beat the system unless you have inside info or Arb trading,apart from that your looking at trading longer term,if you have some real skills at manual trading you might make some money as long as you are really disciplined and able to switch from a Bear to a bull in a short time period,I've seen it many times traders taking a Bear view or Bull view and nothing will change thei...

From what I know if your profits are over 20k/year revenue are suppose to be informed,but there is no data available on what rate they Tax if they actually do decide,at the moment there are no set tax rules on spread betting in UK&IRE.A great business to be in with 0 Tax,I think its because of the figures that 95% lose within a short period,but what about the 5% that win over the long run.

Two things I see ,the double spike through the BB and I see a squeeze at 4.15 on the 1 min chart,the odds of it going lower are less in my view,take profit and wait ,as I said earlier we are going against the major trend,as we know is strong when it takes place,no major news events ,so it has to switch between buying and selling.

50 points so far,the trade is going abit flat as it is coming near European close,normally a sideways shift then continuation of a move ,I assume bearish as last move was a buying move,stoploss moved down to 905.I dont expect much action for at least 30 mins until a direction is decided.

We got a common trait of Eur/Usd at 2.30 moved up and knocked out the last high by 3 points then reversed to move lower,I use this method quite often when I see it playing out,at this level Eur is on the high side.The trend upwards from 800 handle has been quite strong,we might see a move back down to 800,but we are going against the major trend,I still think we can catch a profit before a rebound.
