With SMALL positions it's more likely to stay in the game even after a panic like today.

Nem kaptam üzenetet. Miért ne lenne minden OK, a veszteség része a játéknak. Azt mondják, olyan pénzzel játssz, amit nem gond, ha elveszítesz. Ezt teszem. :)

Been a busy little week, market upset a few lads as it usually does. I had luck because I didn't get my arse burnt in this sell-off.
Well let's call it .. a month. I'm off for a few days but I thought I'd look at my numbers after my 1000th trade. A monthly summary or something.
I'm happy to see the smallest monthly loss since I decided to try and get rid of overnight exposure, painful hope & hold trades and most importantly, plan the trades and trade the plan.
Sometimes it's painful but hey sure not more painful than giving birth to a child or gallstone pain or whatever. Forex is not for little pussies who scream. It will work itself out fine ... with a little bit of patience...
More than half a year and more than a thousand trades, the average profit vs. loss pips looks like:
Jan 33 / -38
Feb 24 / -76
Mar 34 / -36
Apr 39 / -61
May 55 / -130
Jun 43 / -71
Jul 26 / -29
Aug 22 / -22
I traded ( = lost money on) gold May and June, this might have contributed to the larger number of loss pips. Otherwise I hope to see average losses below average profits. Losses are not that bad as they would seem. Especially if I can pay my tuition fees off last year's profits.
I'm fine with losses around / smaller than 30-40 pips, but I know I should be pickier with the entries. That's a different story. Probably another 6 months. Or more. I'm gonna take my time. I have all the time in the world.
For the rest of the year, it's called rehearsal and repetition. It takes time to form new habits. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Nice song really. Good to have some fun while trading. So many other forums, so many threads with all those hardcore technical and professional posts. I love that myfxbook is so different, anyone can post their favorite music if they like.
Especially in my thread - where the motto is - our way, or the highway. Anyone can post their favorite tunes here.

Nobody would envy such pathetic results. Except some of the serial margin callers. I guess I'll invest in your fund next year! If the other EAs don't beat your system in the meantime. 😄
