Hi,- When "Progressive Lot Size" then the Value is percent of free margin to calculate the lot size. Default 5%.This 5% is a nice average. Depending on your account size or the drawdown you are willing to accept, you can change this value.So you can go higher or lower with that setting.The EA can be used on other instruments, but that has not been tested, it was optimized on EURUSD.What you can do is run it in the strategy tester and if you find a good pair, you can use the EA on it.But use real tick data to test! (Like Tick Data Suite)

There are three different ways of trailing SL implemented.And each method is fine-tuned depending on pattern.If we trail too soon, the longer term RR goes out the window!Some people like to close the trades when in some decent profit, that's ok, but then they should also do this when in loss before it hits the SL.We need to be careful with trailing and trust it to hit the TP.Only then, the longer term RR will be ok.

Hi Ozzie,Optimization was done on each pattern separate for the period March 14 to July 17.That's why EU has 10 patterns, AU 7 and UJ only 2 patterns.Turning on and off each pattern is no longer an option because this time around I wanted to keep things as easy as possible for the user.And indeed, April to now is quite short a period to judge the strategy.It EA needs a longer term to prove what it's capabel of.

Early years are totally irrelevant.It was a completely different market back then.We optimized the EA for current market conditions on 99.9% accurate tick data , more particular from 2013 to now.(And no, this is not curve-fitting)The fact that back test results for 2017, even on less accurate data, matches the live forward test, only confirms that we did a good job with optimizing the EA.

Hi,Let's assume a Bullish pattern.A pattern has the legs XA, AB, BC and CD.If it completes, meaning it has all 4 legs and a D point, it will Buy.But since HT ULTIMATE trades from the C point towards the D point already it says EMERGING, meaning it is not completed and has no 4th leg or D point yet.So for an EMERGING Bullish pattern it (may) Sell from the C point towards the D point.And once the pattern completes, it will say Bullish Pattern and will Buy.Hope that explains it.

@aeronthomas That 5 % is not the risk, it is 5 % of free margin is Lot size.My Myfxbook was not started yet but account should be updated now.@sdek4x Yes you can modify SL, the EA will not put them back.

If you don't want open positions during the weekend then you can use the settings "No More Trades After Friday 17:00 UTC" and / or "Close Trades on Friday 20:45 UTC".

Let me explain some of the differences and similarities between the latest version HT ULTIMATE (that's the 4 series)and the previous series HarmonicsTrader v3.4.3 (that's the 3 series).They both open 3 trades/pattern.The 4 series works only on EU H1. (for now)The 3 series can be used on any pair/TF and has more settings to tweak.(optimize it first if you want to use it on anything else than EU H1!) The 4 series works on every tick and always with hard SL & TP.The 3 series works on the close of the (H1) candle, so candle has to close past SL or TP for a trade to be closed.(but it ha...

That's actually of no importance because each of the 10 patterns has it's own fixed size (ZZ depth).There are also 3 different ways of trailing and one of them is trailing with fractals on the current TF.So if we would optimize it on the M15 TF and we were to put the results of M15 over the results of H1, they would be a perfect match.
