I can tell you about it, it's a tick scalper or similar is my guess and while it appears amazing in back test or a demo account in the real world it will probably make a loss.

Hi, yes sure it can go countertrend. I'm working off the principal that the backtest and live trading results for this EA include all news results and the EA is profitable. You could, as you say, analyse the data against news release date/times and see if excluding the news releases would make the EA more profitable. I think just cutting the news trades out without analysing the result would be unwise as you might be removing some of the most profitable trades.I'd be interested to hear how you get on. I did consider doing it myself but it's will take a fair amount of messing around...

I don't, it's a trend following system. Some news events will go with the trend and some against. It also makes most of it's profit in sudden bursts of activity. Miss one of the runs and you are in a world of hurt.Best regards Steve

On the chart you are running FGB on it says in the top corner Internal = x, External = x.If they are not the same number it means the EA has lost control of positions and you should manually intervene.If it happens continually ( it did to me once ) the solution is to reinstall the EA. Even if you are running the latest version. It seems to solve the problem.It's not unexpected to get different positions than the default account, especially with different broker and VPS combinations. Just monitor your performance in comparison to this one and if it's considerable worse, change something...

Check whether the internal and external numbers ( on the chart ) are the same. If they aren't close it definitely. Also if they aren't the same it's probably worth reinstalling FGB.Best regards Steve

This EA is showing 1.2 pips expectancy on a backtest, the forward demo shows an expectancy of 0.7 pips.DON'T expect this EA to make any money on a live account, slippage on entry and exit will kill it, guaranteed.Why do you think there are no live accounts shown?Best regards Steve

I'm going to be a little cynical here, but I've been around the Forex autotrading business too long not to be.Forex Growth Bot has 1780 people watching and as the most popular system on here has been viewed 1.2 million times.Eugene makes a full time living from trading FX, or so the sales blurb tells us and yet it's not from this account which since day one has had no withdrawals. Based on what?A comparison of the live FGB account against the FIB account for the period FIB has been live, shows that while FIB made 731.7 pips for a 40.89% return, FGB made 1516 pips for a 56.85% return.FGB has been running successfully live for 2 years and 4 months versus FIB which has been running live in it's current version for 3 months now.On paper it does look as though FIB might be a better EA than FGB, however I think it's still early days to be making decisions like that. Personally, I'm running them both at reduced risk and I'll see how they compare over an extende...

Li21 is manually intervening on his trades. Not really recommended unless you're a good manual trader. I tried it myself with FGB at first and it generally did better than me over the long run. Manually intervening also means that in effect you are trading without a tested plan, not a great ideaBest regards Steve

Well it does appear that it isn't martingale from the strategy tester results, there are some strange lot size decisions at some points but it's definitely not martingale. If this is genuine then well done.
