Best post in this discussion so far :)let's not demonize trading robots! Using smart and automatic algorythms is a legal way to trade a live account. Any good broker allows this, because any good broker wants their clients to get filthy rich with trading. However, a good broker's demo account should be as close to a live account as possible, when it comes to commission (plus execution time, requotes, slippage, price feed, ...)Im sure those participants who are currently leading this contest via ultra fast scalping robots have used those EAs on live accounts once and probably lost money...

Don, this contest does not only help the (few) winners of this contest, but also the broker to establish his name / reputation and hopefully attrackt some live traders. Howeve,r traders are getting upset due to a missusage of trading robots. I am a programmer myself and I could have released several trading robots on that demo account ... all of them used to be highly profitable on demo accounts, but not on live accounts due to higher commission, slippage, higher execution time etc. One does not simply open a 1000 lot trade every few seconds on a live account and that's why such scalping E...

Dear Broker,I pay less than a dollar on a 50 Lot trade and I struggle to believe that commission stays as low as it is on a live account. I demand that you adjust the commission in this contest and retroactively charge the commission on our accounts. There are accounts that trade almost 1000 trades a day with a lotsize of 1000 while they take 2 Pips on a trade. This only works because of no slippage and ultra low commission, plus instant execution - all factors that we won't have on a live account. I believe that non of the current leaders in this contest will trade a live account with you...

#1 is currently an account that is traded with a trading robot, that takes 2 pips ... made me laugh!Try that on a live account with slippage and commission! Have fun winning the contest ;-)
