Of course you can start with multiplier_filter = 3.Since this blocks all 1X and 3X orders, you might not seeANY orders appear before at least 3 days.No, pairs that trend for too long lead to large drawdownsand eventual stop out.That was the design in Tom's EA - when any trade went-600 pips in the opposite direction, it is closed. And mostof those occurrences are with 1X orders. It does happenon 3X and 6X and 9X trades, but much, much less often.This code is too new for this to have occurred yet. haha, this is neither Tom's EA nor a commercial product nor $150.Please read a few or several posts earlier; it's a personally developed EA thatcan filter out the lower level orders 1X or 1X and 3X or 1X,3X and 6X, etc.It's called Forex Cure EA (v0.9) and is not intended as a commercial product.I only charge $15 and this is to help pay for my development costs and cheapenough to get into the hands of people try out.I have attached a short explanation and variables settings sheet whichshould help one understand the philosophy and motivation for such an EA.-Drew

This is for Tradydave. There are 2 ways to make Tom's EA work profitably. Use MT4i's Personal Trade Copier to block orders smaller than 6X (or whatever you like). If you go for real $$, just make sure your Broker's Demo server and Real server are 'close' network-wise. I can confirm Alpari and IamFX are for sure - (else, the delay may miss new orders or fail to close open orders) You have to monitor the cut off value (ie., lots size) because it changes with Equity value and you might inadvertently let a 3X or worse, a 1X order pass through. 50000/2000000 = 0.025, x 6 lots = 0.15, set Risk @ 3.0 (in TradeCopier Receiver settings), gives 0.45 as what 'appears' at the doorstep on the Receiver. Next size down is 3X and shows up as 0.225 with this config.So, because Equity will vary, I set the variable called 'IgnoreLotsSmallerThan' as halfway between, 0.3375.One has to monitor that 'Ignore...' variable as Equity shrinks and grows, unfortunately, else wrong orders are let inor even missed entirely.Enjoy...-d===========================================================

The default settings for MT4i's Tradecopier Personal always set Equity to be proportional betweenSender and Receiver. So, it's easy to calculate what a 1X and 3X appear as, Lot-size on the Receiver (Catcher)Then set one variable on the Receiver side: 'IgnoreLotsSmallerThan', so that only 6X, 9X, 12X, etc... get placed.6X Catcher has been stopped forever now - mission accomplished.-d===================================================================

Hi everyone (that cares..;). One of my experiments of ignoring all orders smallerthan 6X has just completed. I consider complete when the account balance doubles.I used a $2,000,000 'Pitcher' account running Tom's EA and 4 'Catcher'accounts of $50K each. The 6X Catcher doubled to $100K after 6 weeks.3X and 12X are behind and still growing. 9X's MT4 or TradeCopier databasegot corrupt and crashes immediately after launch - but not before it made itto $89K from $50K. I am using RoboForex Live account and my EA took 2 nice 0-second duration trades for 3.1 and 3.6 pipsSame timing on FXOpen and for some reason did not close for 1 minute. It really varies from broker to broker,you're right..-d==================================================================

This weird startup curve is what I get for recycling a small account into one 320% larger.I think MyFXBook was not able to read the rebates/bonus/refunds etc., stuck in MT4 History.Hopefully things will straighten out over the next few weeks....
