Uda, that's good. I myself prefer to trade something that is mostly exchange based so that I trade every day during some exchange open hours. Thus volatility and opportunities are abundant and I spend evenings and weekends with my family.

I noticed FXPrimus charges 1 pip as commission but spread is 3 ticks in comparison to fixed spread of 5 ticks on fixed spread account.

I would actually prefer to read good book :)Anyway, EA is not a panacea and if trading is limited to exchange based session like oil or stockjs it is fine but when trading takes over life it is not. Good trader should have no emotions while trading. Those who experience adrenalin rush are just gamblers or addicts.

I am doing not that bad actually so far. The key is how to identify high probability moments and I do this often but also how to use position sizing in this regard to profit at maximum when moments arrive.Let's take Thursday. My first trade when I made about 1% on oil short was perfect. a little bit too late but anyway it was good. Exit was premature and later trades before the last were not good as I realized what was going on but could not find lower risk entry. Price was just dropping like a stone. I guess I should have used 1 min chart for this. I failed to notice reversal later despit...

I think Forex is too much of a good thing. 24 hours a day market lives no time for personal life. There must be trading time and resting family time. I see that those who involved in Forex trading are watching market continuously. I wonder what sense of this? The point is to trade to live not live to trade.

I do have rules. The first one cut losses. and I have some more but not too much but it definitely not a complete system and my increasing experience and gut feeling also play role.

Yep, $5000 would be way better as $1000 is too little and hard to trade with FXPrimus sizes but still possible.Anyway, $5000 is not enough to make money too.My goal is to develop skills, prove them and attract non USA investors or join some firm and trade its capital.

I agree on this one. I obviously have plan but i tis not in the stone so to speak and I see position sizing as the biggest challenge as I want to know when to push harder and risk more and when to risk less.

Mr, Zero, I cannot say I have a strategy per se. I would call it a method. Position sizing still not methodical. I have been thinking of how to risk more when situation seems very clear directional but have not been able to do so for now.BTW, those animals do not look like edibles. May be it is humans who are edibles on this picture?

Right now I am off key. Gotta read some psychological stuff this weekend.I traded back more than a half of yesterday's loss before giving it back. Wanted to trade everything back in one session. it is bad. I need to accept it. as I see I actually 0.1% down today although have no idea why.

Hi Alanfx 1,I like trading oil for many reasons.1. I do not have to watch for opportunities 24 hours a day. I can just trade Numex session and there is a lot of opportunities there.2. Liquidity like Forex.3. It moves4. I always wanted to trade oil after reading about pit traders. Oil unlike Forex is a real thing and the most important one for our civilization. Everything is based on oil. Thank you for kind words.I also think I will become an expert after some time.
