have 7 trades running now. had been whipsawed around for 3 weeks now. Now trends might be starting. I only do not like how Cad based pairs reacted which I have 2. eur/cad is making deep pull back. been +220 pips now only +120. stop to BE. might get stopped.

I would point to different criteria. When trader is connected to myfxbook it is easy to see statistics. The most important to consider are the following:1. Does trader uses hard stop and how consistent he in implementing them. which means no over sized losses like some 100 pips and then 600 pips. No hard stops is not good whatever the returns might be. Follow this advise and you will never learn how to trade. But as I said, do not risk even $20 000. Open live account with Oanda, deposit $100, develop strategy you can pick some reasonable stuff at Forex Factory. Trade only longer term from daily chart never risking more than 1 % per trade. You should know that although $120 000 sounds like a lot of money, it can dissapear like snow in spring if you do not know what you are doing and cannot control yourself. closed all positions before close but aud/nzd, again closed nzd/usd short by mistake but will reenter if price action confirms. been thinking that it requ9ires mental calmness to see 8% unrealized in floating profit and do nothing. it just was not enough there to take profits. most of trades even did not give 1:1 and few 2:1 but this is not what I am aiming at. I know that when markets takes off and I am in I can rack huge pips again. this helps to go through such periods. in any case I am already seeing in what situation I should close trades before ma's cross against me. I would not put no $20 000 now if you are really a newbie.Open an account with Oanda and deposit $100. You can trade $100 live same way and with same money management as $120 000. It takes long time to make it in this business especially for those who are not insiders like us.

opened quite a bit of new trades and locked 100 pips on aud/usd just above 2 days swing high. aud looks like getting stronger would not want to get stopped for nothing like eur/usd and e/j happened after 200 pips runs. reentered gbp/nzd too short side.

closed gbp/nzd 40 pips short of my stop loss. the rest is in profit some moved to BE. Hope trends will start. eur looks like weakening.

ok, added more trades and closed usd/cad. never liked this pair and I kind of getting cerebral when it comes to when trade doe snot work even before there is signal to close. gbp/nzd ain't working for now but it has good potential if takes off so I am waiting and watching few more pairs to add when signals arrive.

exactly why i mentioned long term trend following from daily charts. No need to go auto. You can trade it manually too. entries for me are mostly at night.
