The Institute for Supply Management released a report on Friday showing a very slight slowdown in the pace of growth in U.S. service sector activity in the month of February. The ISM said its services PMI edged down to 55.1 in February from 55.2 in January, although a reading above 50 still indicates growth in the sector.

France Industrial Output Falls For First Time In 3 Months
French industrial production declined for the first time in three months in January largely due to falling transport equipment manufacturing, official data showed on Friday. Industrial production fell 1.9 percent from December, when output grew 1.5 percent, the statistical office INSEE reported.

Alleviating fears of a recession, the euro area private sector activity grew the most since mid-2022 as there was a quick upturn in the services sector, while manufacturing activity landed on broad stabilization in February. The final composite output index rose to 52.0 in February from 50.3 in January, data released by S&P Global showed on Friday. The flash reading was 52.3.

Sumner, Washington-based Helly Hansen (U.S.) Inc. is recalling adult workwear sweatshirts and hoodies citing violation of federal flammability standard and burn hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said. The recall includes about 13,900 units sold in the United States. In addition, 128,680 units were sold in Canada.

German Exports Rebound In January
Germany's exports rebounded more than expected in January underpinned by shipments to the US, although the overall increase was insufficient to offset the decline in December, official data revealed Friday. Exports increased 2.1 percent on a monthly basis in January, in contrast to the 6.3 percent decline in December, Destatis reported.

Shares of Deutsche Lufthansa AG were gaining around 6 percent in the morning trading in Germany after the flag carrier reported Friday a profit in its fourth quarter, compared to last year's loss, benefited by significant demand growth in air travel. Fiscal 2022 revenue almost doubled, and the airline projects further significant improvement in fiscal 2023 adjusted EBIT.
