attached the report of the Trend EAas you can see last 2 years profit is very low due to low big trendsEA has exit strategy SO there is no "trade until dead".and it is decreasing lot size with an algo ( reverse of grid or martingale )http://www.myfxbook.com/files/xenon/StrategyTester.gif

ok.I advise you to test your EA with the following dates monthly base07-200702-200807-200812-200803-200912-200901-201005-2010I can give you more time windows.with that high SL you are just collecting all losses in to one basket and one day you should open that.PS:I am not offensive. just posting my experience.walker.

BTWoptimization is the worst thing that you can do.for me optimization = wearing a strecth to an elephant. it will tear with the first move.walker

some information:long grid fails more then short grid.the reason is gravity effect ( water fall ). frox market mood is very similiar to stock market. when it is going long it makes more waves. and this give trader to exit on some point when grid trading. but when going short it is moving like a water fall without consolidation for a long time. and this kills grid accounts. and when it consolidates regrading to to long ones those are more acting like going long anf then starting a second water fall. walker

Dear TraderI am also a coder and has an experience of 5 years. first I wish you good luck!second can you please "public" the history so we can get better understanding what is happeningthird, the fats are seems like a martingale or grid.if your EA is any type of those if will fail for sure soon or late.regardswalker

this post will be quite pasimistic;with my 4 years coding experience and thosuands of different EA codesI can say thatthere can not be any EA that will run more then 6 moths depending on the coded period. what is good for short is good for long after some bars/hours/days/weeks.knowing that is also effected my manal tradings negative.there can not be any grid or martingale code/algo/system/strategy that can make money without blowing account.my conclusion is trading is depending on the waves. same as wave surfing. if you catch the correct wave you produce profit or totally loss.I wish I could n...

I had coded the grid with exit. it makes money but as not I expected. Had to think more on that. the trend trader is good but works only with 1hr chart and and needs really big trends. like had in 2007-2008-2009-2010 and makes money once or twice a yearit is not for me

I am about to code a GRID that will not blow accout with smart exit strategy. due it will stay away from the big trends( Grid Killers)

guysthe EA %100 catching the big trends and keeping it self from loosing on the sideways.but unfortunatelly it works on 1 hr.and it cathes only the real big ones. ( grid killers )I am currently woking on a scalper to combine it with the trend catcher. due I know where the big treads are!PS:I use 3rd derivative of fractal group which is combination of fractals.think how much I did smoothed the signals!!!

I had tested it on 5 min chart and results are good. So I started to work on 5 min chart instead 1 Hr.

greetings,I keep trading manually. but also working on coding the new consistant EA s.at least I had able to code a "Natural Winner" with EURUSD 1 HR chart.here are some info.No Optimization!!!!max Stop loss is ~200 PIPactually exit is done by the Logic. Stop loss is just in case.min Take Profit is > 600 PIPactually exit is done by the Logic. agree about the trader mind.but the strongest mental man can not trade with cont loosing. it breaks at some point.so they both has to come togather.

good words!but there is a but;think that way, if you are marketer you can discuss with your client and you can bring him to your idea. but in the market there is no such chance. will power can not effect market itself(client) in trading. So we need a referance point to trade. I think this must me most common tool that used by most of the traders to find a common point. it can be MA s or some other tools. but should be as simple as possible. then will power will effect our desecions according that ref point. walker

today I am down from 25% to 16%. ( actually it was 1% then I went up to 16% ).also today I had faced with a new market mood. thousands of ticks. reasonable high/low. but very very bumpy market. it would be a good day for grid traders. shame.

MDP creator William has released a new EA "Replicator".the logic is the pattern recall from the history. it is basicly what I am trying to do here manually. but he had coded that.I dont think that can be well coded. but lets see the results first.walker
