The basics of martingale is to risk more than can win.By doubling the position every time the markets go against the trader, is also increases risk. If the trader has very deep pockets, then it is almost a risk free strategy. But no one has pockets that deep. If markets range then it is OK, the strategy will give returns, but sometimes markets can trend of an extended period of time.Excample: If the trader doubles the position every 80 pips, it needs for the market to move only 800 pips (ten times) for the trader to increase the position from 1,000 to 1,023,000. (1+2+4+8+16+32+64+128+256+512)....

Hi @nicolasFx I have a few questions:Gain is +195.66% but absolute gain is +16.07%. Do you continually fund your account?How did you manage to have average 0.05 pips loss?Can you show more data?

I wouldn't advice to implement Martingale cause it is very risky strategy.

I'm trying to improve my trading skills and I tend to forget my mistakes. I've started trading five years ago, as every newbie trader: hoping for easy profits. Found it the hard way, high IQ doesn't pay out, patience does.Funny, what I learned for five years is that markets are 'predictable'. It is 'easy' to learn fundamental and technical analysis, but the hardest part is human behavior. It takes time to learn to trad...

@ForexAssistant Zynga Poker is just an online poker game, with virtual money, which they have not value. Just an online game. On the other hand Bitcoin is virtual currency, but has value. I made an example: with zynga virtual chips and demo virtual money, no one can pay bills.I know that trading demo account and real account is similar, but not the same. Even if you trade manual or with robots. There are differences. EA-s have some advantages over humans, humans have some advantages over EA-s.Everything is possible, but on long I believe humans have more chances over fully automated EA-s.

@kivatrading I was close on calculation, 74.63% (current 73.51%), it's good it is solved. 😄About demos in general just said that platforms should be tested on demo first.
