That is why I am curious about whether or not they are testing for widening the spread. I had 2 potential trade triggers, but they were both at Sydney open. The spread would have been abnormally wide, even on accounts with a normally low spread, like 0.7 pips. If MDP was set to accept up to 3.0pips, it might have triggered the trade.

I wonder if they are experimenting with widening the spread. That is about the only way they would have triggered any trades this morning.

And again.....MDP missed trades due to the spread being ever so slightly too wide. I am not talking about 1 pip of 0.5 pip. It was 0.1 or 0.2 pips too wide. The creators NEED to put in a setting so that we can adjust the spread we are willing to accept. I could have added another 20-40 pips today if MDP would have accepted 2.1 pip spreads. Freaking annoying.

There is only one way to know. With MDP you have to test it live.

If you have multiple orders that would all be triggered at the same spot, mdp will eliminate all but one pending order and multiply its size accordingly. essentially it allows mt4 to reduce the use of the trade context greatly.

It was a bad trade. maximum possible take was about 2 pips and that would only have been by luck. I tried to close out and still got a small loss. Couldn't get the trades closed before it went negative.

I don't mean to be argumentative, but this is the kind of result i have been getting. I am using minimum risk on all 6 pairs. I have it running on an account with about $56,000 and my drawdown is $19,000. Since Nov 1st, it has made $6,000.

I think i have maybe figured it out then. I was using all 6 recommended pairs. The live test account for this EA is not using all the recommended pairs.

I can see that it works....in your account and mine. What I don't understand is, how does your account show so little DD? Everyone I have talked to that has tested the system experienced a constant huge drawdown. I guess the real question is..... Since everyone else has experienced huge DD with this, but you have not, and instead you show lots of losses, do you manually intervene and close trades out? As long as I have seen this EA in action on several different accounts, i have never seen it take a pure loss, without manual intervention.

That is what I have been seeing. I looked at their live account, and never at any point does it show the kind of constant DD I saw. Matter of fact, based on minimum risk and that it opened a lot size of 0.1 lot in my account, I have seen it carry an open DD of -15,000 pips. Most of the time, the DD would hover around -10,000 pips, and every once in a while it would drop down to less than -1,000 pips. I ran all 6 pairs at minimum risk the entire time. Now that I have said that, it was not uncommon for it to gain +1,000 pips in a day. There were even a couple times that it gained as much as +350...

IBFX had too wide of a spread. If only I had a way to adjust MDP to use a wider spread during certain market movements.......but it is hard-coded. Maybe it is time to look into hacking it and adding the code myself.

What I don't understand is how this account shows so little drawdown. My account is running on the lowest possible risk setting of 1 and I constantly have a huge drawdown.

Not on the bigger spikes. That is why I was stipulating that the wider spread only become active during spikes larger than 30 pips. Those are usually the only ones that have a significant pullback that would fairly easily exceed 3 pips. Is only a theory, but if it had been in effect, I would have caught both of the big spikes and hard pullbacks from today and yesterday.

It appears to be a good thing i was watching the MDP trades today. I intervened several times. Several of the accounts I have looked were at breakeven or a slight loss today. i ended up with several small wins.

search on google for "hft systems" or "high frequency trading". You will find a lot of info about it and probably a few companies that do it.

Personally, I would be surprised if anyone with that much money was using anything mt4 based. You can get access to HFT systems with that kind of money.
