14th I been told, but I doubt it. Waiting in great anticipation for the visa...not holding my breath.I work hard when I work. And it is very dangerous. When the job is on it's on, otherwise I'm mellow yellow....lazy if you want to. But just relaxing really. Trying to get rid of the bruises and scrapes. I don't do signals Chikot. No signals, I have no interest in direction or calls. Doesn't matter in fx. Can easily run it eurusd long for the next 3 years or so. Usd is toast anyway.

Zero, Because the fxbook systems works on balance and not NAV it will never be accurate. In this case last time NAV and balance was the same was $175 and I was out, now $150 NAV, so about 14% DD right now. To me for 1% a day that's ok, as long as it doesn't get much worse. In theory I should stop out and wait a bit for things to settle down. I am using to much margin so back to 2 pairs for now. I'm going away again so I'll just load this on the server and let it putter along on it's own for at least 2 months before I do anything to it again. I won't be able to access ...

K - I think tonight decided it for me. I'm going to wait for the NAV on this portfolio to reach a high. Or at least get over the previous high. Just to prove my margin point, then I'm done.

If the data is accurate, which mostly it is not. Any MT based back testing is laughable. Hope that is not what you're basing your decisions on.

We don't back test. We use to, decade ago. I just don't trust it. For Mt was ok to see if code works, but not the result. API we are doing JAVA. JAVA runs on anything. One of the benefits.Most of the stuff we do now days are beyond back testing. To complex. Just run it live.

Long story hey - not one I want to get into after I've been sworn at. I'll just hunker down and mind my little 50% failure if you don't mind. No wonder I didn't get raptured. Using to much margin is a sin. Was wondering....

Yes Tri,And one could take it further. How about eurusd and gbpusd and eurchf and gbpcfh and erujpy and gpjy and so on....all trading eurgbp, cause that all it ends up being. Anadova, Yeah I use most of my margin. But that is because I can. All of this is carefully worked out as opposed to a blanket rule bad trader uses more than x....

Doesn't work like that. My NAV is steady, that's the risk indicator, not how much I commit to the positions.If you don't believe me go do the experiment. You won't see it in any MT based brokerage but Oanda gives it to you. You can use all your margin and end up with a no risk. Just depends on your choice of pairs and what you put down.

What do you want ? 100% a year? I'll do 10% margin no problem. This is a 1000% plus a years portfolio. Be realistic, I have to use as much as I can, that's the whole point....

Honest ? Zero got locked up for cheque fraud, he ran it for 10 years. Maybe he is rehabilitated, maybe not. He seems more honest of late, certainly of his trading. But he does have a criminal history. I am not going to humour him. Simple as that. Especially if you read the thread and see the tone. Cock sucker and so on. I been doing trading since 1998 , laid down the first fx code in 2004. I'm sure I can learn things, but not from Zero who can't make 2 weeks. He couldn't even keep the Oanda API connected....

Anadova, I'm not looking for help in any form. I know what I'm doing. Simply did this account to put Diamonds trading into perspective and now I'm using it for experimental stuff. I have a long history with Zero here and unless he behaves himself he is getting no information out of me. I can make my margin usage anything I want it to at any moment and look good doing it.
