Anyone with developer skills can make a pull request for the code and create their own coin, not sure where your reference to a "group with large amount of BTC" has anything to do with this. I can make a pull request now and create a coin in about an hour with no BTC, the success of the coin depends on my vision for the coin, it's functionality and ultimately the online community <-- that is why Bitcoin clones don't last, new coins have to have a unique function and revolutionize the Blockchain technology to succeed.

Yes, I agree for entry. I was being specific on "Trend following on 15 min to an 1hr", there is no trend under 1H or even 4H if you factor in news events. I also have my entries on 1H chart, I check trend on 1D, but my EA doesn't use a trending strategy anyway so it's actually pointless, I have a "close all" EA on the 1D if a certain condition is met, but no opens.

???No! never! Don't trade what you can't afford to lose, loans / credit are not affordable by definition. And there is no trend on 15M or 1H chart, just noise which gives togr's statement validity. You nailed money management though, so I'll give you that small victory. 😀

Yes, India has also just legalized Bitcoin. There are also Bitcoin ATM's worldwide (https://coinatmradar.com/countries/).I am currently just mining crypto currencies and will trade one on one with companies and people, exchanges and crypto trading sites (not CFD's) right now are not stable in my view.

EternalRocks is not currently weaponized and in it's current state only propagates. (and of the ones released, you have inadvertently chosen to name the weakest of the batch). You are trying to link Shadow Brokers (hacking group) to your issue (they target large financial institutions like banks) with a tool released by them (stolen from NSA) which has no payload, least of which targets MT platforms.Keep your system updated, all known exploits have been patched since March. My current research shows no current MT4 or MT5 exploits "that close trades" other than EA's specifical...

Bitcoin is traded as CFD, so as far as I understand it you aren't trading physical Bitcoins, only price and the broker takes the other side of the contract. I traded Bitcoins with my previous broker, my current broker doesn't offer Bitcoin (or any other encryption currency) trading yet.

Profit taking during Asian session. A Macron win was already factored into the market, once he won there was no reason to hold onto profits, hence the selloff. You will see the price gap [rise during weekend election for anticipated Macron win], once market opened the selloff began.

Expected a 21 April move with French election... disappointing. I guess it might have if Macron lost.@FernandoDemata No, NFP is non-farm payroll on Friday, French election was Sunday, you missed NFP.

You don't know who Lex van Dam is!!!? 😲I doubt he has an account here (in fact I'm pretty sure he doesn't), he is a hedge fund manager... a very successful one with high end clientele. He only recently started courses on forex, his training focus has primarily been about shares and related "company" type instruments (etf, cfd, etc.).But yes, doesn't relate to the forum topic at all.

So this is what I've come up with so far:Norman66 and simonbet (babypips) seem to be the only ones affected.simonbet refers to a malware in an EA (alrighty then!).A link from 2016 provided, that is not a hack, but a DOS specific to brokers (ie. Not applicable to the discussion).I have gone out of my way to search for information on this "anticapitalist" virus, malware, adware, hack... found nothing.I have attempted to source the EA from around the world, Russia and Mars... I found nothing. If you have the EA, please zip it to megaupload and provide the link, I would like to prod a...

Sounds like a forced margin call (opened many trades [operations]). Also sounds to me like it's not a virus but ran an untested (or tested on live account) issue. ("I downloaded EA´s from a Russian forums")If you download and use an EA and don't test it on demo account first, it's your own stupidity.I created a similar EA by accident once, had close bracket in wrong place and my open order was within a for loop, opened a trade on every tick... sounds like the same thing but released on purpose.DON'T RUN UNKNOWN AND/OR UNTESTED EA'S ON LIVE ACCOUNTS.

You can set it to only restart off peak hours. I have mine set to only restart during the early hours of the morning when the market is practically at a standstill. When I get up in the morning I just log in and start metatrader again, an hour later the market starts getting active again (UK open). The "Just restart after update, tough luck!..." was fixed in an update.Push start -> type "settings" -> Update and Security -> under update settings go into Change active hours.

I wouldn't say it matters either way, it depends on the trader, their strategy and how much time they have to trade. Traders who are busy throughout the day (either working a non-trading job, advising clients, etc) would likely trade 4H+ time frames, while others trading news, listenting to the squawk box and sit at their desk for the whole work day will use all time frames, lower approaching news events, and longer on macro-economic fundamentals.I find that generally when holding trades for longer periods of time it's best to trade on longer time frames, inversely if you are in and ou...

Agree there is no big difference with EA short term, but there is a difference. For example, on a demo comparison I tried, demo gave me no gaps or slippage and the swap rates lagged behind the real account. I also had no-fills on real (out of price errors) while demo filled orders regardless (causing the most impact). These add up quickly to a huge difference in outcome (note I say outcome not strategy or method). It really comes down to how the broker sets up the demo vs real servers, some will follow real principles, others set them up to just run as efficiently as possible for trading pract...

I think this one rule (or goal) solves all problems (in it's simplest form):Margin Level > 1000% - Good!Margin Level < 1000% - Over Trading, caution! only close trades.Margin Level < 500% - Seriously! what are you doing? Don't cry when you get margin called, you started it :-PA smart trader will fund account under 500%, no new trades till over 1000%, Noob Trader will open new trades in hope of regaining margin level by closing them in profit (I kept doing this for 3 years before I learned my lesson - you thought you'll know everything about forex trading in 3 years? ha ha ...

I would say you never really stop "practicing". If your demo account balance is $100 000, you won't learn anything, that's where a small, micro, live account will do you a world of good.

Well I'm busy switching over my MT4 to MT5, just waiting for trades to close. May as well make the move now, get it over with and used to the the MT5 system (again. - I have used MT5 in the past, actually preferred it, but back then it came at premium [higher minimum deposit, wider spreads, etc.]), now that it's becoming the main focus, the terms from brokers seem to fall in line with MT4.
