Didn't realise you could lose all the discussion history from a robot by deleting it and then adding it again. That's a nice trick to use to remove any comments that you might not want other people to read.

Okay, interesting that this exact system was on MyFxBook previously and was deleted the other week after having some fairly hot tempered debating on it.It's now back! Dominic's other system FX-robot has now been deleted - again after having some hot termpered debate on it.At the time the "NYDude" was claiming to use Alpari as his broker. The plot thickens. If you use FXDD and Forex.com as stated then you have absolutely zero reason to hide your broker.

I use FXPro, they are your standard market maker. They occasionally slip my orders or give me requotes. If I was manually trading I would use Dukascopy without question for 100k

The real contest is called life, it's with your live trading accounts and if you win it you get to have a life of plenty. If you lose it you get to be poor.Good luck

Manual Trading - Without Stop Loss
in
General
May 10, 2010 at 21:22
Not using a stop loss is called gambling. Every trade should be worked out as a certain percentage of your equity. If you aren't setting a stop loss you have no idea what this percentage risk is. Therefore you don't have a trading plan and sooner or later you will end up broke. Guaranteed.

I've been trading with Midas for a couple of weeks or so now. I must admit I could have picked a better time to start using it :)For those that don't know Midas is a grid based martingale system. It relies on the market eventually retracing and closing out your positions. So, doesn't work too well during black swan events!I was running both the "standard" Midas as shown in the Midas 1 account. I started it with six pairs and with £5000 capital and a starting lot of 0.01. So about 10% of the risk that the original Midas 1 account started with, so I thought it would b...

Rafiu, correct on both counts. History has now been refreshed.I also just saw a four digit trade on the history.Screenie attached. This is 100% not running on Alpari, despite what the owner says in a previous post.

Nah, I'm guessing it's as Rafiu suggested that it is merely down to the switch to a new month and the history not being present. Presumably Dominic has now changed the history settings

I notice that the withdrawal has dropped to zero now on this account. Did the broker refuse to pay out?

Hi Brandon,FXPro don't deal with Tradency and to be honest, if I was starting this from scratch I would not use FxPro. As I already had an account open with FXPro when I started the live test I used that to make life easier :)The performance of the robot is indicative of the kind of performance you would expect from your typical middle of the road bucket shop broker.I have had people ask about managed accounts previously on my blog and I have considered the idea but I would need to generate a certain level of interest before I set that up.Steve

I've decided to stick with FxPro on this account for several reasons.1) It's only an account testing/demonstrating the ability of Cast Iron Man. As such using it with a middle of the road broker will demonstrate that it can be profitable even without using the best brokers. Not everyone has the finances to open an account with some of the better brokers.2) I've built up six months of live trade history which I am loathe to let go of. If I do at some stage decide to market this robot it will be with live trading history to back it up along with the backtest results.3) I did open an ...
