Hey everyone, I was just wondering what everyone's take on the varying pip values vs margin cost, for example if i trade a volume of .8 with the AUD/USD it costs me (with leverage of 500:1) $175.47 in margin and 1 pip is worth $8, if i were to be following say, USD/CHF the same volume .8 costs me (500:1) $160 in margin and 1 pip is worth $9.25.that extra $1.25 would reduce the number of pips needed to hit financial targets? and if the work is the same to analyze either chart why not go with the one that costs less to open and gives more profit?answers on a postcar... nm!thanks

Just had a read through some other trading systems, and i'll explain here what i'm doing.as the title says $25 to $25,000. in 10 trades in 10 days.looking for medium strength breakouts on short time frames, the AUD/USD was the most volatile of the few pairs i could tradeprice action and candle stick patternsdaily pivot points & stoch on 1h chartsi'm using zig zag and trend lines for direction, on 5m & 15m charts stoch, zig zag & zup 20 for entry on 1min & 5min chartsexit has to be 25pipsany questions and i'll try to answer them. and later i'll get around to ...

hehewhats so good about the stats? any idea what they will look like at the end of next week? assuming i dont blow the account? lolzi really havent had time to look into all of the features here, thanks for the support. it means a lot that at least one person thinks the same way as me!

hey guys, the way i see it there is no more or less risk than on the first trade? its a 25$ account, and if it mc then its only 25$.the ability to make 25pips is not rocket science, i think that the perceived risk only starts when the amount of money increases. on a purely psychological level what i'm finding interesting is the level of anxiety vs volume traded. if i can block out the actual amount of money and keep my emotions in check i dont see why its not possible.Sure i agree that i would never trade my normal account in this way, but one of the reasons i tanked the real account thats...

H, Thanks buddy, the second trade has been done and i'm still in the game, although i got the tp wrong by 4 pips the trade went exactly to where i thought it would.when i put in a trade i dont apply the tp at the time and go back to add it in, i guess that the price moved against me by 4 points and i'll take it into account on the next trade.2 down 8 to go!p

@ sean, hey ya, your quite right it should be 11 trades, i stand corrected :) but i have recently read my brokers fine print, and they change the leverage after 25000. so its a far more realistic 25 to 25000 in 10 trades in 10 days 😁 lolz. and yeah its margin call or money on each trade!its only a 1000% increase in 10 days! ( pfffttt )the idea was to use a std account and trade to start with 0.1, make 25pips on each trade (after spread). @horacioo 10 perfect trades in a row, everything stacked against you, it becomes about fine tuning your entry points. and having a 100% success rate. ...

@uda Hello, this is the first time i've tanked an account, about 4 years ago i started trading forex and did well in a couple of live accounts, after about 6 months of practice in a demo. I live in Indonesia and at the time i was in Jakarta, I made enough money to move to bali and take a couple of years off! always thinking that i could just drop back into trading without much hassle.oh how wrong i was! lolz. I only expect to get better! 🙄I'm looking for some insight to the adjustment from trading demo to trading real in terms of mental factors (fear of losing mainly), and how to overcome these factors?I'm guessing that my system is incomplete, because i have no confidence in the trades i'm placing. i like these threads because you should be able to set yourself absurd targets and go for it. I have a side account in which i have been trying for years to turn $25 into $50,000 in only 12 trades.This isnt about trading for long term financial gain, its just for a little fun.Plus its got to be possible i've just not managed to get past the 4th trade yet! if anyone feels like having a crack my rules are as follows:1, starting balance of 25$us2, no more / no less trades than exactly 12 (the idea is to double the balance with every trade)3, no more / no less than 12 days from first trade to ...
