FX Rogue Wave 2.5 Automated Breakout - Time Based
in
Trading Systems

FX Rogue Wave is designed to work automatically initializing at the same time every day. But you may want it to use your own trading indicators to choose when to load the EA. This video will show you some possibilities.

Here is a little video I create showing how to load for the first time. Enjoy. I am still looking for a good video capture that does not take too much memory for uploads.

The EA loads initial TP and SL at 250 pips in the event of a complete loss of communication. When the EA initializes, two yellow lines should form showing you where it plans to close the orders when the price meets them.http://www.myfxbook.com/files/ibthescottyb/Capture_Hw.JPGIn this example, I am in a sell heading toward the lower yellow line on USDCAD. The yellow lines are 1x channel distance for profit.

That is also correct. Depending on your broker's spread, there could be small variations in the channel size by a pip or two. Now, if you loaded it this morning, you could be in different trades than I as I am still in a trade sequence from yesterday. The EA will only initialize at the prescribed time if the previous day's sequence is complete.

At this time it is 8:00 US Eastern Standard Time. On the broker I use, the market watch shows 12:00. 12:00 is the time to be entered in the "TimeStart' Variable.http://www.myfxbook.com/files/ibthescottyb/Capture_6M.JPG

On the MT4 platform, look at the MarketWatch time. This is your broker time. When broker time matches 8:00am EST, that is the time you want to set in the "TimeStart" varieble in the user settings.

In this example, I use the EA as a tool. The premise of the EA is when placed on a chart, it will establish Entry and exit points based on the Highs AND lows of an established number of candles in the past. These entry points will lock in place until the EA is reset or certain conditions are met.One order will be placed on chart if an entry line is crossed, LONG order for top entry point being crossed or SHORT order if lower entry point is crossed. Stop loss will be just before the opposing entry point or value in pips as set in the user defined variables (whichever is less). If an order closes ...

http://www.myfxbook.com/files/ibthescottyb/Capture_eG.JPG***NEW VERSION ALERT***Version 2.4 is available by request. This version functions the same as previous versions, but gives a visual reference point of exits (In yellow). By viewing possible exit prior to allowing the EA to trade, you will be able to see if your planned settings are feasible for current market conditions.
