The IP address for the last connected server of mt4 is in the srv file. Use NOTEPAD to open it...and hunt for the first thing that looks like an IP address or website.

Actually, if the slippage is too low, if the price is moving quickly, there is a possible run-away that could happen. The requotes would be the issue, and it would only be a problem on the exit. The worst that could happen on the open is that the orders would get rejected and you would miss good trades. On the exit side, if you get a requote (assuming zero slippage) then the EA has to resend another close order....and then possibly get another requote....and so on. Very unlikely, but could result in very large losses in a fast moving market.I recommend a slippage on no less than 1 at absolute ...

That is really odd. There is no reason I can think of that would require the VPS tech to install the EA.

Well, there is finally a GBPUSD mdp demo posted, but the trade history is private. Which kind of sucks cause now we can't tell how it is trading. All we can do is watch the equity curve. The secrecy makes me very leary of even testing the system.

My guess is, it will only be profitable for the lucky few, and it will never be as profitable as it used to be. As people give up, new peeps will always be waiting in line to take their place. I still see people popping up that have just found out about MDP.

You can test the pushing of the market. I have been able to push the market during low liquidity times. If we couldn't influence the market, that would have been impossible.

This is very true. Going to setup a fake scenario to explain how this would play out to everyone.Let's say there is a big US news event. And said event comes out far worse than anyone expected. The response is going to be a huge volume of buyers on the EURUSD with very few sellers. This would cause the price of the EURUSD to spike up pretty hard....stall and continue...possibly forming a new uptrend. Now....let's say the volume during this event was 10,000 lots long and 1000 lots short.....causing a huge imbalance and starting the spike...and by 50 pips up, the rest of the 9000 lots is...

One thing you gotta keep in mind is 90% of the mdp users will never post a word on a forum anywhere ever, especially if they have found a way to make it profitable.

Guys.....read through the entire forum....look at the results before lots of people started using it....now compare that to now.It is obvious that something has changed. No matter how badly you don't want to accept it, leerees is telling the truth. This is exactly what HFT's do. They are programmed to take advantage of certain consistent market conditions. MDP is such a big deal mow that it is worth to code a HFT to take advantage of it. They will not always succeed because the market is not entirely computer driven. Yeah, if a broker is saying they are shuting down the MDP trades/clients accounts due to not having the money to cover the posititions, it means they are trading against the people and losing too much money to allow it.
