VPS Services

I, too, had major problems with them, and I think I wrote about it around a year ago in this forum. I quit using them as the VPS would randomly shut down, and it happened several times. They were cheap but if the server randomly shut down then I may as well use my own pc, so I went with a more expensive VPS service (although I dont pay as its a broker perk) and haven't looked back

Having been a user for over 6 months, I consider this to be a VERY UNRELIABLE AND BAD SERVICE. For those that have serious accounts, and use VPS with their EA's should never use this service. I have had unexpected shut downs on SIX occasions, and when I have complained to customer support I have been assured it would never happen again. They even claimed to have switched me over to a new node, and it still happened. It is not worth your hard earned money as you will lose a lot more when your EA's stop in the middle of a trade and can't monitor it

Good luck to all those that trusted them again - you are going to need it. As of this minute, the equity on the account is at a mere 15%. If a miracle happens, and the euro turns now you are in luck, but if not, its bye bye for the fourth time for these guys. Here is a picture of the equity to prove it - http://screencast.com/t/pQocld5so0O

Nobody can say they were not warned. As the famous expression goes, "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on you, fool me three times, shame on ME" - This is their third round. The first two ended in accounts going to zero. If you trust them again then you are the fool. No doubt about it. Good luck - you will need it!

A word of caution to everyone - be extremely careful with these people. They blew accounts twice in the past and people lost a tremendous amount of money. After the first time they convinced people it was a mistake, blamed it on a number of factors, and went back into business. They then blew the second account merely a few weeks later. There was an extremely haughty attitude when many traders informed them that they heading into bad territory and making big mistakes, yet they disregarded all words of caution, and continued with the positions rather than take small losses. There was one person ...

its not so much that they lost money. Its that they barely speak english, and you can't communicate and get straight answers from them. I don't know who will be willing to trade with them again.Their strategy is EXACTLY the same. They just put in a sl for whatever you decide. So if you want a 10% SL on a 10k account, they will be doing EXACTLY the same trades they were doing before and assume you have a 1k account. Nothings changed. Had they implemented this NEW CHANGE beforehand, you would have still lost 100% of your preconceived amount. You may as well just fund your account with th...

I lost net about 6k since I didn't have it that long. I see their account shows blown up now too. I saw on their blog one person that had a 100k account. The poor guy must have lost everything. They also moderate their blog so you can't even write what you want

The Alpari stopout doesn't seem to be 20% as they are now at around 10%, and account is still running

Thankfully, my account has not gotten rubbed out although it is holding by a shoestring. I saw my account reach $544 at one point and margin didn't get called. And I am talking about an account that was a 10k account. I am feeling sick to my stomach over this policy of gambling others money away like this. I feel horrible about others that may have had much more inside and already may have had margin calls.

You can look back at the posts earlier in this thread. It has already been tried and didn't work quite well at all. My theory after some research is that they "toot their horn" more than really are. Their relationships with liquidity providers is fairly minimal (as evidenced by tick chart data - there is a whole article about that somewhere how you can tell between brokers what type of liquidity providers they have just by checking out the 1 min or tick data. Someone may be able to post it here)Also, what type of self-respecting company hosts themselves up in Denmark. If your a r...

I don't why people even bother to run this on a demo unless your just trying to figure out the settings. The profits you make are no indication whatsoever. Just put in the minimum deposit, and play with that. And you don't have to play with the whole min deposit. You can always set the MDP to trade a fraction of your acct, so u will never lose any significant amount

Yes, this was tried on FXPRO. There were a few trades, but I don't think you will get the full benefit bc (a) FXPRO has a huge amount of requotes, and (b) they don't allow stops within x amount of pips, and you will constantly be getting reports of that in the logs which to me means you are missing out on some major pips

"but at that point the ethic discussion will be started by you. due you want to protect your idea"Thats funny! - I never thought about it from that perspective:)If one decompiled ex4 code, can you then add in your own simple code to the execution orders? Or do you NEED to put it in the dll file?

Hi Steve,About the ethics aspect, I overall agree with you although there some very zealous ppl out there who are adamantly against, but I have paid the full price without a problem, and paid my dues as they say. What I want CAN be done IF i hack it, and put my parameters into the actual code of the EA. And its something I may definitely do. It is the only way I can run the EA the way I want to run it. Otherwise, I basically bought an EA, and can't use it because it doesn't fit what I want. One of them is FGB - as everyone knows it has been performing pretty horribly lately, but I want t...

EA's always have to be tweaked. That is the nature of them. In order for them to reflect the underlying market, you must tweak. How do you do that? There are various methods, but most professionals advise you to re-test every 2-3 months to reflect the new market conditions.Yes you can leave as is, and if it has been back-tested for 10 years, then overall you should come out fine, but if you want even more perfect results, tweaking is the only way. Fughe has mentioned countless times that he does not want to share his settings. I can get that. In order to tweak you can spend hundreds of hou...
