I'm using OANDA as my broker and it is an MT4 account however Autotrade says that this particular account is ineligible because it's not MT4?

Are OANDA brokers as a signal provider not allowed? It doesn't seem that they are MT4 approved despite the fact that I use MT4 for my OANDA accounts.

I've run amok on this account. I'm trading several different strategies now (a mean reversion strategy, trend following, and volatility breakout strategy). We shall see how it all does! I'm trying to also be as risk adverse as possible, my positions do not exceed 0.01 lots at this time.

There's currently multiple number of strategies on this live account now being used on very different FX pairs. Trend following strategies on EURUSD and AUDJPY and then Mean Reverting strategies on the following pairs EURGBP|CADSGD|EURSEK|EURNOK|EURSGD|EURCAD. The opening of the trades are automatically opened by EA's while the closing of the trades are usually closed by EA's with some manual intervention by me.

CADSGD FX pair pip calculation

You're incorrect I have had the same thing happen with CHFZAR and Myfxbook corrected it in the past. It's got to do with how myfxbook reads the statement for particular exotic pairs.

Looks like myfxbook doesn't properly calculate the pip total for the CADSGD fx pair. If you take a look at my portfolio history you can see the result of a profitable trade is only 1 pip? That's definitely not correct. Can someone from the myfxbook team look at this and change? Thanks

Unfortunately my Fx Broker, OANDA, automatically puts in trade comments on every MT4 trade thus I cannot verify the trading privileges on this live account. It is live however and I have full control, please note that almost all trading is automated now using the Omega99 EA version 3.1 on USDCAD as I am taking less and less manual trades.

I totally agree that there should be no set in stone %ROI to realize on a monthly basis -- When a new trader is starting off consistency is key versus any set returns per week or per month. However I think one should keep a close eye on %ROI on a month over month basis as well. Here's why..The SP-500 index has realized as of end of day today (EOD) 1.28% return. If you bought the index at the beginning of the month and held until EOD today you're gains would be +1.28%.. Guess what..l.. any idiot can go and do that.. The whole point of trading is to have outsized gains on a daily weekly ...

Agree with you completely Chikot.. Like you I'll be looking to manage OPM eventually as well -- Just keep in mind that you want to deal with professional investors and fact is, most professional investors don't expect a money manager to return 50% to 100% return a year. Sure it can happen in a really good year but expectations of doing that year over year or even month over month need to be tempered. Some of the largest hedge funds in the world whom have some of the smartest people in the world working for them return 10% to 20% annually only. That should be your goal, I would even hes...

my goal is really to just beat whatever the broad market SP500 is doing.. If this month it did 3% and I returned 5% I'm very happy.. If the market is at -3% and I'm at +1% again I'm pretty happy.. Just so happens that at the moment I'm doing an average return of 11.32% return per month but I don't forsee that lasting forever. Good on you Chikot for a conservative and measured trading style, that's exactly what I'm trying to do as well..

I've tried FXCM, InterbanKFX, Alpari and remember the ill fated REFCO? OANDA seems to always win out above them all. The tight spreads make an enormous difference especially when you're trading a lot of exotics like I usually do. Besides the fact that most brokers don't even offer the currency pairs I trade.

Pump and dump unfortunately, looks like October was certainly a terrible month. What I find with EA's nowadays is that they're optimized for a certain period of time, however they can't handle major instability in the markets and so they fail -- large! Good luck with your experiment!
