well i've heard that gain capital offers the largest database however it's not the best as it has a lot of gaps.you can also get some data from Oanda.on both cases however you will need to open an account.

ok i see you have a similar mindset to me. i guess your failure criteria applies to your unique trading system. so you're saying you didn't had any consecutive losses (or not enough to indicate a system's failure)? i wonder what's the best approach after you've developed a successful system? keep improving it? or try to create a totally new one? or maybe both?

you're probably not referring to complete failure as it wouldn't make any sense to have clients with such approach?i would like to know how do you define failure:- a system that worked for a year a stopped working?- a system that lost money from day one?- a system that needs to be constantly developed and improved?and on that note, how do you define a system to be successful? after 5 years of positive figures yearly?

looks like the price is stalling and i'm not sure it will get to the selling areas at all.

i don't think it's necessarily the mindset of old-school and new-school traders. i think it more depends on the trader itself. i'm sure you can find traders with different risk approaches from both ends if look hard enough.3 years is a bit too much i believe in order to prove yourself - i think one year of consistent returns should be enough, nevertheless, the longer the track record, the better.by the way, you've mentioned donna forex - i don't think she is a trader at all, she only uses readily available ea's and just tries different settings and sells them.

that makes two of us.although the automated system runs, i find it a bit risky for my manual trading style.i would suggest to wait until january 4th since the 1st is friday, and for a first friday for 2010 i wouldn't be surprised to see some high volatility.

shouldn't be hard for a programmer with basic knowledge with dll's (no, that's not me 😉).you just need to create an ea that sends prices to the master ea which is on your main trading account. run the ea's on all the platforms you want to get the feed from, and on your main platform you just work with additional variables which are the different feeds.

elkart, great posts! this is very useful information and should be read by anyone looking to buy/lease a system.i would like to add that even if you think you found a good system, always assume that it can fail, so start small and build your account from there. also another important aspect is the system's vendor - it will help you judge the system if you know who you're dealing with, and if something doesn't add up - you can always move to the next one.

by the way, if someone noticed, he is updating his statement once every couple of days - he's probably just uploading a statement he has manually created (or faked in other words).

actually, i don't have a problem with him making pips 😄.what bothers me is his misleading statements.let's take the best case scenario and the worst case:best case: he is indeed making pips, and even though he is trading a demo account, he's stating it's a real one to attract clients (as of course no one will even talk to him if it's a demo).worst case: he is faking the statement (which can be easily done with some programming knowledge) and is just trying to scam people for their money.as you can see, both scenarios are not in his favor.the fact he is ignoring my a...

thanks but no thanks. real statements can be seen right here, and since you haven't verified your account, i can bet your "real" statements on your website aren't real at all.you're trading a demo account while pretending to trade a real one.

elkart, you should give him a break. i'm sure there are some authentic systems here, and it just might be one of them.he's not guilty of anything until proved otherwise 😉.i'm for one am interested in seeing how his performance develops.

the trade is developing nicely.on the 4 hour i can see the price making lower-lows, and lower highs which should point to a strong down-move.next target is the support at ~1.6165, then it should head to the ~1.60 levels.
