The Best Program

Please note that the forward test is a mix of my manual trading and my programs. The programs should have trading with 65 pips for tp and sl should have around 70ish pips. I obviously am horrible at manual trading but the software does well on it's own without my interference if you find the spots where it is trading. I just have to be more patient in my own trading when the software makes a few bad trades as it will recover.

Hey guys, I have been perfecting some software, It should generate 10x + per year of return. It has not been run live yet as I am looking to sell it to get some more money in my account and have been trading manually recently with all of the sideways motion in the market but my real trading is not as good as the software. I believe I have finally perfected it to beat the sideways motion. If interested, check out http://www.myfxbook.com/strategies/best-program/8412I have used earlier versions of it in live trading which have performed quite well up to the weeks when the market moved sideways wh...

All EAs experience the same, mine and a couple that I have not made. No big deal though as I can work around it. Probably just bad data during non trading hours or non-updated data.

I get the same result from one week to the next DURING trading hours for sure, but I'm not going to worry about it, just wanted to see if anyone else saw this issue ever. I have seen it on both of my computers but no big deal. I just can't test on the weekends and guarantee good data.

Well many times it seems like the newer points are off because it makes many more bad trades at the end and I believe also in other parts possibly of the time span that the program is tested on. Every Tick is the testing method used without optimization.

Well, it is better than nothing for testing and it seems to work for me as long as I test within trading hours but thanks for your input.

I notice that when I run the strategy tester on the weekend during hours that the Forex market is not open, the results are not fully as expected. Does the data not update during these hours? Possibly the server my Metatrader connects to is down? Anyone know the specific reason that my software trades oddly especially with the newer data? It tests fine once the market is open again. In both instances it trades, it just seems to trade differently from how it should when it trades off hours.thanks guys
