I doubt that any investor in his right mind would send a large deposit to a "no-name" and unregulated Russian broker. The bottom line is that the mentioned strategies are highly suspicious of a Ponzi-scheme (i.e. manufactured statements and no actual trades behind them). On the other hand, I would not hesitate for a minute to sign up if those strategies were running at one of the regulated, mainstream brokers (e.g. Pepperstone, IC Markets, Oanda, FXCM, etc.) But they are not...

Yes, indeed, however, highly they are suspicious of Ponzi scheme (remember the Madoff story...). Unfortunately brokers can manipulate MyFxBook trade history, which always comes to one's mind when a "suspiciously good" strategy is run at a non-mainstream broker with lots of question marks in its background.

Thank you for sharing the strategy details, Bob.Mathematically it makes sense, however, most traders are not mathematicians and don't have the patience of a Tibetian monk, i.e. waiting for the first trade and first small profit for years or even decades, as according to the theory the first 0.01 lot is opened at the CENTER. It takes lots of patience to wait for the center. But lets say, that we do not wait for the center just start trading the USD/CHF towards the center on January 2nd, 2003. The range was established between 1995 and 2000 (1.1225 and 1.8309). The center was at 1.4767 (in 20...

Well, I would not judge Bob as he has the right to his opinion, as anybody else.Concerning to the high efficacy of capital usage by allowing a 75% DD, well, I also have some reservations:1. If the strategy is using max. leverage then a 75% DD means that on the remaining 25% equity a trader suddenly has to make 300% profit JUST TO BREAK EVEN. Pretty challenging task, especially EMOTIONALLY after a 75% DD. Why...? Because another 25% DD and the account is gone.2. I would seriously doubt that an institutional or even a private investor would consider that a 75% DD on his account means that his mo...

I agree, the mathematical theory behind a potentially profitable grid strategy is intriguing. But to be intrigued more, I would prefer to see a LIVE account showing at least 4% per month SAFE profit (as stated in the title of this blog) and WITH tolerable DD. More than a year ago I have started a similarly titled blog (http://www.myfxbook.com/community/experienced-traders/5-average-monthly-profit-for/494885,13). Anyone interested can see interesting entries.I have looked again at BOB's DEMO account: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexAssistant/rise-audcad/578913 -- well, I just don't...

Your very first entry sounds like this: "Hello, I think it would be interesting and also useful for traders who ... advertise themselves here to fill in this survey."My response was: "Successful traders do not advertise here on MyFxBook."Then you: "No idea what you mean."Come on! Have I misread the word "ADVERTISE" in your very first sentence...?? Probably you are off your Alzheimer's medication.

Unfortunately one month is too short, even 6 months are very little...There have been numerous fantastic, stable, "risk controlled" strategies - run on well funded LIVE accounts - here on MFB just to blow up without any warning after 7-8 months of picture perfect history...

Yes, indeed. Most of the time excellent choice of momentum direction, and even if not, the EA is "wise enough" to make a nice recovery and a gracious exit. But large drawdownds will happen occasionally and anyone following Tomas' strategy should be PREPARED for that. Especially EMOTIONALLY. In view of this warning and risk disclosure Tomas should be immune of any and all criticism from anyone when a large DD happens (if ever). My suggestion to all fellow followers: please set your risk (i.e. minilot:deposit ratio) within your emotional pain tolerance level and save Tomas from any a...
