Absolutely right. Even "ECN brokers" cover the trades "in-house" for small retail traders.Once a trader starts becoming consistently OR too profitable then they either:1. Activate their parasite "virtual dealer plug-ins" on smaller profitable accounts (trading below 50 lots)OR2. They send the orders to real liquidity providers (usually > 50 lots). The common denominator is the appearance of HUGE slippages with the typical explanation upon inquiries: "Sorry. That was the best price where we could match your order with a buyer or seller..." (which co...

New link to the account: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/FxMasterGuru/robosniper-1x-risk/1770937 (verification in progress)Fully automated PRICE ACTION based Asian session scalper running on carefully selected pairs. Strategy uses propretary and highly selective entry system with fixed and dynamic TP and SL.Occasionally multiple positions are opened (max. 3), but ONLY when price action warrants it, i.e. NOT for cost averaging purposes. FIFO compliant.

Yes, backtests are usually illusory. On the other hand: if they showed consistently BAD results on the long run, then spending time with demo forward tests could be a waste of time.

It always puzzles me when I see that some of the most profitable and above-average funded live showcase accounts are running at "no-name" brokers...For example: this account is running at the less known and less reputable NZ-based "AuraFx" which seems to be a WHITEL LABEL brokerage of the also NZ-based and poorly regulated PureECN.net. (By the way, broker "regulation" in New Zealand is simply a joke... Just look up the horror case of also NZ-based "Capital Trust Markets" on ForexPeaceArmy whose owner has managed to steal $500k+ client funds without ANY l...

That is what happened Ozzie:http://www.myfxbook.com/files/FxMasterGuru/nightscalper.pngNightScalper: YESGrid: YES (in spite of the official description on SignalStart)Steady: NOP.S. I used to be a subscriber of this signal in the early times, but it was too risky for me in spite of its "steady" gains, so I quit. It is almost a miracle that it has lasted so long without a crippling DD...P.S.2. Even though a signal provider may promise "NO GRID", it means nothing as the above example shows on August 11th when 4 grid entries on GBPAUD has caused the major DD.

@MQLme Got it. Thanks!Just two more final questions:1. Are you using these high risk settings for the signals broadcasted to subscribers?2. Is the shown backtest based on these high risk settings?

@MQLme Just a little mathematics about the SL.You mentioned in this thread: "The maximum open positions at the same time is 2. The second trade would be opened if the first trade be in loss for at least 33 pips. The SL for both positions would be set in 200 pips from the first position."Currently you have two open trades each with 0.17 lots. Lets see the "worst case scenario" when both trades hit SL:1st trade: 0.17 x -200 pips = -$3402nd trade: 0.17 x -167 pips = -$284Total SL: -$624 Current balance: +$562Hmmm... Do I sense potential margin call - i.e. total loss - even bef...

@MQLme It is good to hear.I guess many potential subscribers had a few unpleasant experiences with "trade copier" services when the signal provider simply went crazy - probably under the pressure of indirectly managing hundreds of thousands of dollars in followers funds - and just blew the whole thing. Even after a year of stable and low risk trading. Subsequently they simply disappeared in thin air and probably opened shop under a new name. When it comes to manual trading (or even EA intervention) I don't even trust myself, not to mention anyone else. For that simple reason I am ...

Completely agree with Ozzie. These are my same exact concerns and probably of many other "window shopper" traders here on MFB.@MQLme Please consider running and marketing an EA version only (i.e. a version without human intervention) with added 1-month subscription option. You could already count on 2 subscribers, Ozzie and me.Offering a 1-month subscription option would also show that your service is here to stay on the long run and you are confident that your customers will be renewing their monthly subscription. In contrast, offering only yearly subscriptions carries the hidden me...

It would be even nicer if no Martingale were involved.Martingaling itself is not an edge (if it were, we would be all millionaires), so if this strategy has a real edge, this edge could be exploited without Martingale MM, too.Doing so would definitely increase the real and commercial value of the strategy as many traders/investors run for the exit when they hear "Martingale".

You are right, but the given examples are not the best.1. I can give you a strategy with 298 wins from 300 trades, but still, it would be a loser strategy.2. Pro poker players don't win 298 out 300 hands, but still many of them are millionaires...In other words: Not an extremely high Win : Loss ratio is the main hallmark of a profitable strategy.

Intraday trading is "gambling" only for those who don't know how to do it right. It is as much "gambling" as playing poker is "gambling" for professional poker players...BTW, I concur with previous statements of HolyGrail, Tomas (vontogr) and Elena.

@MQLme Unfortunately I have to ask this "unpleasant" question from you, too: What is the use of showing a backtest if your "analyst" decides about the trading sessions and may limit the trade directions...?These decisions are significant non-algorhithmic components of a strategy and probably based on SUBJECTIVE factors, otherwise they would be a part of the EA's algorhithm. Correct?I am sure that you would also agree that these SUBJECTIVE factors may have major impact (+/-) on the EA's ACTUAL performance. In view of the above the shown backtest's predicitive valu...
