Yes they want you to think that forex brokers are omnipotent wizards who can see the future with a crystal ball... C'mon man think about, ofcourse they are going to tell you that same line of garbage to dissuade anyone who asks from trying it which like pip-g said is easy if they can't find out it's you.It's not in their best interest to say "yes you can do this"most lawyers only ever tell ppl what NOT to do, lol!

Not Actual Prize Money.I started this thread while lamenting a time when we could use any broker in the world we wanted, and complaining that we couldn't anymore, because Rule 1 of the contest was that a person from USA can't receive a prize. haha thanks splexin. And yea US Regulation is finally forcing brokers to give positive slippage as equally as negative slippage. The Result? A lot less slippage....BTW when I said wannabe-buffet "mentors" I wasn't talking about you. You know your stuff.ALSO, in hindsight, it looks like the surge in heavy metals was the market pricing in the announcement of more QE, but bernanke can't do that until he first says it won't happen, stocks crash, and then they will begging for QE. Just another roller coaster ride.

The Last Broker didn't have any problems to send a cash equivalent to US Based Contestants, the reason this one won't send a cash equivalent is because, -besides the fact that the rules state the prize is a funded account and therefore a "US Citizen" is not eligible to open the ACCOUNT (NOT from RECEIVING A PRIZE!)- the dirty little secret is, the broker does not want you to have the chance to KEEP the money because by giving you a funded account, they are betting that you will lose it all. so far a WIN WIN for the broker sponsoring this contest, and LOSE LOSE for myfxbook an...

Euro-Dollar almost killed me this competition, such poor movements on it lately... The real play was the yen pairs last few weeks, aud/jpy usd/jpy and gbp/jpy . Now it looks like a commodities surge, gold/silver/oil are up...anyways good trading, friend

Wise people can read and understand a risk disclaimer, fools will ignore them. ever made one of your classes read a full forex risk disclosure statement, out loud, and then discussing maybe what this means? I bet you have not.

and not only that, I consider those brokers to be awful in general. The best brokers are overseas, and the smartest clients are at the best brokers, Oanda is about the only broker available to US clients that has decent retail client functionality, thus the success... If we are counting all the people who misunderstood "forex" and lost their shirt or their farm, as traders, really we are doing a disservice to those who are real traders by lumping them in with those newbies that banks want to push over a cliff to feed the fire, "liquidity" etc... again just my opinionsbut I&...

yes, thank you and I am aware of those statistics, but I don't believe that's the end all measurement of trader success. Yes a large portion of these 108,000 accounts, (a small sample?) will not prove themselves to be actual traders, imo. that's all i'm saying

Furthermore, I am skeptical of the fact that you believe that most traders fail and that there is a perpetuated idea that most traders fail, maybe in your circle and maybe with some people you know, and it's a stretch to say maybe some of your students have made performances that you considered a "failure".In conclusion, perhaps it is your lack of discernment as to what qualifies someone to be termed a "trader", and likewise, a "failure".What time frame are we looking at here and what type of trader?

dear 7forex,what really would convince folks, is a long term track record of trading with high risk / high returns.so far from what I have observed, you have only been trading for the month of November, and you started several new accounts during this time which lasted only a few days each.I understand your position, and I see no problems with the independent investor who wishes to use margin call as a stop loss, as long as they planned on doing that, and knew they could live with it in the first place. High returns are possible - but not sustainable - even for the best of the best traders. So...
