I know this doesn't look so good, but I've made a lot of changes to the EA and improved it tremendously. I've also addressed the drawdown issue. You can now set the level of risk in the parameters so you'll have better control over the drawdown.This is a real money account. It was funded by one of the stimulus checks from the government.

I'm making changes to improve this so basically a user can raise or lower the drawdown based on their trading style and risk tolerance.

Thankfully the drawdown is over. It was concerning but the EA was never in any real danger. It made money during the drawdown too, which it's designed to do.

Drawdown is still concerning, but it managed a profit of $27.74. The drawdown isn't close to causing a market call so it's not in too much trouble.

The Thanksgiving holiday is over in the US. Friday was pretty slow, but today was back to normal. Account made $25.88 today, so not too bad.

I'm happy with the gains made today, $31.39. There was a slight uptrend, and enough up and down movement to trigger a few gains. Closing in on the $6000 milestone, which is also the 20% gain milestone.

You can quickly lose everything in manual trading too. In fact, I'd say it's even more likely because emotions can come into play.

Pretty major drop in the EURUSD today. Because it happened on the heels of an early morning uptrend, my EA was in buy mode and didn't make the transition to short until some of the drop had already happened. Overall it made $19.56 today.The November percentage gain has passed the October gain. I thought it would mainly because of the volatility around the US election.

My EA stopped trading today after a gain of $11.28 because there is no clear trend indicated. It's actually nice going into the weekend with no pending orders! Sometimes NOT trading is the better option, rather than trying to force something that isn't there.

Welcome to the crazy world of Forex trading!A great place to start looking for an EA is in the Reviews section on here. You'll find hundreds of EAs and reviews. One I like to recommend for new traders is Blessing 3 (I have no affiliation with Blessing 3; it's a free EA I've used in the past). The web site where you can download it is listed in the reviews. If you use it, I HIGHLY recommend reading through the manual carefully! And, by all means, start with a DEMO account!!

EAs and manual trading are not that different from a technical standpoint. Manual traders follow a set of rules and a system they've been using successfully and keep following the same strategy. EAs are exactly the same. Is it easier to update a strategy over an EA? Yes, but I've known manual traders that didn't or couldn't adjust to changing market conditions and lost everything.
