Completely agree with Ozzie. These are my same exact concerns and probably of many other "window shopper" traders here on MFB.@MQLme Please consider running and marketing an EA version only (i.e. a version without human intervention) with added 1-month subscription option. You could already count on 2 subscribers, Ozzie and me.Offering a 1-month subscription option would also show that your service is here to stay on the long run and you are confident that your customers will be renewing their monthly subscription. In contrast, offering only yearly subscriptions carries the hidden me...

It would be even nicer if no Martingale were involved.Martingaling itself is not an edge (if it were, we would be all millionaires), so if this strategy has a real edge, this edge could be exploited without Martingale MM, too.Doing so would definitely increase the real and commercial value of the strategy as many traders/investors run for the exit when they hear "Martingale".

You are right, but the given examples are not the best.1. I can give you a strategy with 298 wins from 300 trades, but still, it would be a loser strategy.2. Pro poker players don't win 298 out 300 hands, but still many of them are millionaires...In other words: Not an extremely high Win : Loss ratio is the main hallmark of a profitable strategy.

Intraday trading is "gambling" only for those who don't know how to do it right. It is as much "gambling" as playing poker is "gambling" for professional poker players...BTW, I concur with previous statements of HolyGrail, Tomas (vontogr) and Elena.

@MQLme Unfortunately I have to ask this "unpleasant" question from you, too: What is the use of showing a backtest if your "analyst" decides about the trading sessions and may limit the trade directions...?These decisions are significant non-algorhithmic components of a strategy and probably based on SUBJECTIVE factors, otherwise they would be a part of the EA's algorhithm. Correct?I am sure that you would also agree that these SUBJECTIVE factors may have major impact (+/-) on the EA's ACTUAL performance. In view of the above the shown backtest's predicitive valu...

@johntrung Sorry, but I don't understand your logic as the vendor DOES SHOW a 2-year backtest report on its website. So why would the vendor show a backtest report if there were "no use" of it...?

Thanks! I agree that a longer backtest probably would not reflect the current potentials of the EA so well, however, it would give an impression about how the EA would have acted in occasional extreme market conditions which are more likely to happen in a longer time frame. In other words: a longer backtest would give a better idea about the potential DD impact of a bad scenario.Although such a backtest may not give the published optimized results, nevertheless, it would give an implied assurance to a subscriber that the EA is not likely to crash his/her account, as such a crash would not have...

You would be able to recruit more customers if a 1-month subcription were offered, too, so subscribers could gain confidence with the EA by running their own backtests and forward tests before commiting to a 1-year deal.Until then, would it be possible to see the results of a 4-5 years backtest with linear (i.e. fixed) lot sizing and 2 pips spread? Thanks!

Yes, no scalping but extensive GRIDDING...! So why the MISLEADING statement on July 28th: "no grid"...?GRIDDING is SOOO obvious just looking at the open trades: you have been selling AUD/CAD since July 4th in a GRID fashion...You started selling it at 0.9621 and you are still selling it 270 pips higher at 0.9897 three weeks later.... Hello...!! YOU GOT THE DIRECTION WRONG!! Isn't it so very obvious...??!You should have been BUYING instead of SELLING AUD/CAD... Then your floating equity would be probably +12% instead of -12%...On top of everything you are selling these BS signals ...

DEMO ARBITRAGE trading. It usually does not work of a REAL account, but even if it worked, brokers refuse to pay out profits as it is against TOS.http://www.myfxbook.com/files/FxMasterGuru/DEMO_TRADING_o6.jpg

It seems that most people read only the TITLE of this thread, but don't pay attention to the Author's RULES.So HERE ARE THE RULES AGAIN copied from Post #1:1) The account must be REAL - NO DEMOS's. (Please do not argue here that it is the same as a live acc. etc - the idea is not to engage in any arguments)2) The account must be verified (Please do not come and defend your "unverified-but-want-to-participate" account - there will simply be no interest)3) DD must not be higher than 40% - (Please! Once again. No justification for your above 40% DD, if it is higher - don'...

$132.14 deposit does not radiate too much confidence in your own strategy, especially considering your "full-time trader" status with 22 years of experience. Why such a small deposit...? One would expect that - as a full-time trader - you should be trading a larger account to make a living and having more "skin" in the game.

Yes, and this misleading info makes one discouraged about the whole deal...Not to mention that the signal provider has "no skin" in the game, so he has nothing to lose. He would end up with "profits" (i.e. with subscription fees) even if the account blows up...In summary: It will NEVER be verified as a REAL/LIVE Pepperstone account...P.S. Probably I would have joined if the account had at least $1000 REAL funds on it... Apparently risking even $1000 is too much for the signal provider... Oh, well...

Although it is marked as "REAL" on MyFxBook, on SignalStart.com it can be seen that it is a DEMO account (see below screenshot or go to: http://www.signalstart.com/analysis/mosaic-beach-club-trader/6120). I wonder why the signal provider has no confidence running it on his own REAL account...??http://www.myfxbook.com/files/FxMasterGuru/Mosaic_8G.png

"...the final results of the study yielded that over a four-year period (2009-2012), the percentage of investors experiencing losses came in at 89%. The average loss of a customer during this period was $13,800 (€10,900).In the four years combined, a total of 13,224 customers experienced aggregate losses of nearly $220 million (€175 million), with the remaining 1,575 customers earning a combined $17.51 million (€13.8 million)."Full article:http://www.financemagnates.com/forex/analysis/amf-publishes-four-year-fx-study-89-of-investors-experiencing-losses/#sthash.ID5Rlr4w...
