The question remains: Can anybody show a VERIFIED LIVE account on MyFxBook with at least 5% average monthly profit for AT LEAST 2 YEARS and with less than 25% max. DD using a non-Martingale strategy...?

Based on the trade analysis, the account balance DD was probably much less than 90%, as the BUY hedging position stepped in action to counteract the open loss of the SELL position.Nevertheless, as Jarora stated it correctly: "The hedging technique is for death of scalping strategy." confirming what I had mentioned previously.

Thanks for the feedback, SIM. You are one of the very few traders who can make consistent profits on Forex, probably 5-6k USD per month plus the commissions from your investors.According to the statistics only 5% of such traders can do that. DD...?"SIM's posted MyFxBook link shows: Average profit: 5.05% with a max. DD of -24.01% over the past 3 years, which fulfills the above criteria. It reassuring to see that there is at least ONE such strategy on MyFxBook. Thanks SIM for sharing the link!On the other hand the posted strategy uses Martingale money management and apparently very well, as the account has not blown up for practical...

The hedging technique is clear from the trades dated January 29th and 30th.This time it had worked out nicely, but what happens if the market decides to linger around the price level of the hedging position, stopping out and reentering it (with 3 pips SL in this case) on numerous occasions, again and again...??Well, I know the answer from first hand, as I created such a "Hedging EA" (to compliment a Martingale EA to prevent its inevitable demise). It did work well for a while, but at one point the market started to go sideways for a prolong period of time hitting the hedging EA's...

Do you have a verified MyFxBook link? Anyway, the questions remains the same:Can anybody show a VERIFIED LIVE account on MyFxBook with at least 5% average monthly profit over the past 2 YEARS(!) and with less than -25% max. DD...?So far: nobody.... I guess, it tells a lot about the chances of "Average Joe Trader" finding a "gem" here or making a decent living by trading Forex on his own.

I was referring to AVERAGE monthly profit of 5%. It would be unreal not to have a losing month for 2 straight years while achieving an average of 5% monthly profit with less than -25% max. DD (incl. intratrade DD).I guess there is no one verified LIVE strategy on MyFxBook which would fulfill the above mentioned - and not too ambitious - criteria, which tells a lot about the chances of an "Average Trader Joe" to make a decent living by trading Fx.

I look forward to reading your comments, as nobody else on this forum seems to be using this strategy.I share a previously mentioned concern about the Russian brokerage behind this showcase account, as not being one of the "mainstream" brokerages. In other words: result manipulation - at the brokerage level - is not completely ruled out. 319% profit with less than 5% max. DD is just "too nice"...

The profit curve is nice, but the DD is scary (to me). Would you consider restarting it on another account with a much lower risk setting?

The results show commissions, so this EA is run on an ECN account. When using an ECN account the broker is interested ONLY in collecting the commissions, and it has no interest to limit the use of any kind of EA, should it be a scalping EA (like this one) or an Arb EA.Reference: http://www.100forexbrokers.com/stp-ecn-brokers/ "Only ECN brokers charge commission for trading Forex. Commission is the only revenue/profit an ECN broker receives. ECN brokers are not making money on bid/ask (spread) difference."
