Today's huge NZD Boost - What caused it and what does it mean...

Today we saw a huge influx of buying into the NZD that caused some rather big movements, even though the NZD fundamentals are bad. I posted a blog to explain what happened, and why it happened - there is an included tutorial video that people will (hopefully) find highly useful.http://dailyforexschool.com/blog/blog/today-s-huge-nzd-boost-what-caused-it-and-what-does-it-mean Ben Nathan

Agreed. i think short term it will go up - economic growth is better than expected and data in general is coming through positive. That and the "Rate Hike" phrase being thrown around by some BoE players - Fundamentally its a Bullish currency... the question is for how long...

I wanted to inspire as many traders as I can to perhaps take a step back and think outside the box a little when it comes to their approach to the markets. If you can take on board the approach shown, and apply it to your trading, I am 100% confident that it will make a positive difference to your trading. This complementary video is aimed at scalpers, but it is really suited to any trader, and I trust you will find it of benefit. You can check it out in my blog - http://dailyforexschool.com/blog/blog/video-lesson-how-to-approach-scalping-with-an-investor-s-mind-set

Hey there traders.I wanted to share a conversation I had with a trading friend/subscriber while we debated whether or not to go long on the eurusd. it shows how I like to add in fundamentals when I approach the markets, mane I felt it may prove useful so figured I'd blog it.http://dailyforexschool.com/blog/blog/thinking-about-things-as-an-investorNote, this contains no marketing references and views posted are purely a matter of opinion and what I find works for me.Enjoy, feel free to share if you find it useful in any wayBN

I dont buy into broker hunting - why would a broker dishonestly work against you when they make far more money in the long term if your trading goes well... food for thought...On another note - I know of a few traders making 6 figures from fund management. My opinion is that you cant safely make anything "Full Time" on your own funds unless you have at least 100K... but again, thats my opinion.

RSTrading posted:The criteria :1) The account must be real - no demo's. (please do not argue here that it is the same as a live acc. etc - the idea is not to engage in any arguments)2) The account must be verified (please do not come and defend your unverified-but-want-to-participate account - there will simply be no interest)3)DD must not be higher than 40% - (please. Once again. No justification for your above 40% dd, if it is higher - don't participate)4)The account must be older than 3 months, maybe this is even still too young. 5)No martingales! (it might work for you, and I do no...

Hi thereI may be able to give to advise - i have been working full time as a mentor for several years. The best thing I can suggest is When you have some live account verified statements to show your success, reach out to big tutoring providers, i.e. babypips, forexfactory, or paid services like Forexmentor and offer to teach your methods...Once you get in with them, building a name and reputation follows, and from there as and when you build that reputation you then start to bring your own products out. Public opinion is as powerful as some certification - this is what has enabled me to grow a...

Haha nice - its the problem with these competitions - i think they should have a max risk limit, that way it cuts out the chancers who crank an ea up to max risk and either blow it OR win by a stroke of luck. A competition for actual "traders" would be proper cool

Some real nice accounts on here - granted plenty of bad ones who havent followed the simple rules... but its been a good forum. In the end i closed April on almost +12% (Max risk 1% per trade and NFA FIFO compliant trading :) )http://www.myfxbook.com/members/BenNathanFTA/ben-nathan-fx/1172397 (all rules criteria met)

@TradeWizard Sadly it didnt work mate :(I think its because before I took over in March there may have been a much larger balance that was managed poorly. Is there a way to have it on my profile with a custom start date?Heres the account again: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/BenNathanFTA/managed-account-started-managing-mid/1230711/cpkhOtFIGl1YifoXLCpfIf i do custom analysis from when istarted the figures correct themselves.

If Greece are forced to exit the EU then I think there is another thing to consider = UK elections!I.e. there could be a UK referendum regarding an EU exit within 2 years depending on who wins the elections....I think the EURO is in for a VERY bumpy ride this year....

I couldn't agree more with this - another warning sign to look out for (in my opinion) is those who offer fund management on small accounts - i.e. 1-2K etc etc The FX Investment company I may be joining have a minimum of 200k investment levels, and in some rare cases they offer a 1 month trial on a 10k investment - BUT if the investor doesn't have 200k to put in after that, its bye-bye! At this moment in time, while not relevant to me, i'd say it's relevant to this post - i.e. something to think about - ie trading a 1 or even a 10k account is pretty much worthless to a serious...

The emotional aspect is also a very important element .On a personal level I find this element a lot easiar to manage when I've got a fundamental reason behind my pair choices - it gives me more confidence to leave a trade to run until it hits my pre-designated tp knowing that there is logic for the pair to move my way. It's like anything in life - if you know something is generally good or healthy, you worry less about it and let life take its course with a lot more comfort
