Yeah, I hope what I said was not misconstrued; instead of paying $7 / RTL commission, Standard accounts have +1 pips added to their spread. This spread increment is clearly displayed and disclosed on IC Market's site per Narayan's link. There is nothing scammy or underhanded about this.

Roller's video isn't in dispute, it's just that the minimum spread that applies for Standard type accounts is not shown; there will always be spread of at least 1 pip above what is advertised for Standard accounts.

Most of the time I've seen ICM with better post-commission spreads than BP; occasionally BP offers better spreads, but as a rule, ICM does come out on top with respect to EURUSD in particular. Further, if you factor in IB discounts (which aren't available for BP so far as I'm aware), I've almost never seen BP offer better post-commission spreads. Even as it stands now, with IB discounts factored in, ICM offers a lower overall spread (and if you discount commissions entirely, ICM's spread is always lower).

When it comes to the EURUSD pair even Boston Prime is unable to beat ICM most of the time as MyFXBook will attest; I still have yet to personally encounter a retail/non-institutional broker that offers more competitive spreads with regards to it.And yes, the cTrader negative spreads may not allow you to turn a profit in and of themselves, but they'll obviously make any system more profitable, especially high frequency scalpers with low per trade pip expectancy. I'm pushing to have my EAs ported over to cTrader's code at the first opportunity.

What happened exactly?

This is probably because intermediary banks were involved in the processing/transmission of the withdrawal, which also charged fees against it (if you deposited via wire, intermediaries can also hit you there as well when your money hasn't even touched IC Markets' hands!). As much as intermediaries suck when it comes to wires, their involvement is something IC Markets has absolutely zero control over, and is an issue that can come up regardless of the broker you use.

Hey vontogrIf support was unable to resolve the problem, I would recommend speaking to Angus; alternately, if you provide me with your demo account number, I can inquire about the issue on your behalf.

After having been with IC Markets for about a year now, I can definitely say with confidence they're the best retail space broker I've yet tried; I highly recommend them. The relative quality of their trade environment is precisely why I became an IB for this broker!

Trying to be more specific; that was the time range I was given per my chats with support and Angus.

Yep, Neteller withdrawals are presently being integrated into the client portal; ETA is apparently 3-4 weeks.

Definitely colour me interested Adrian! Count me in once it's ready to rock.@vontgr: To be fair to Adrian and the FRPEA, this EA has been profitable in forward testing for years, and was profitable in 13 year backtests and ~7 year tick backtests. Two accounts I've opened in August 2013 using FRPEA are currently in the green. The only other commercially available EA I've seen that has that kind of track record is Wall Street, and while profitable I don't find that its long term risk/reward is quite as good.Granted on the EURCAD though, it's been killer lately, and not in a g...

No problem Jens.BTW, was hoping you might be able to forward and backtest DriveGold and Forex Scalpino Bot; both look pretty interesting, but I've yet to see long term (6+ year) quality tickdata backtests for them.

@dunkdenk: Awesome, really glad to hear that everything worked out so smoothly!@vontogr: Yeah, the standard procedure per dunkdenk is that you can refund up to your deposit for credit cards, but must withdraw the rest by other means. That all said, I've exciting news; fund transfers between IC Markets and Global Prime are now available!"IC Markets & Global Prime have come to a mutual agreement to allow fund transfers between both brokers. If you are a Global Prime client and would like to transfer funds across to IC Markets you can do so. If you are an IC Markets client and would l...

Hi Jens,I have no idea why they made that recommendation, especially when this EA is performing quite well at ICM, both for them, and myself; I'd _definitely_ switch over, especially considering Pepperstone has only gotten worse with time, not better. Of course, I would certainly listen to their recommendations to disable certain parts of the EA when it comes to special news items and mid-late December when liquidity is poor and spreads/slippage is high.BTW, definitely curious about Drive Gold; so far so good it seems.Cheers,Kyle
