MDP rules once again: 12 trades, 11 winners, unbelievable 27.4 % gain on my 1st account!!😀http://www.myfxbook.com/members/Fred_Forex/mdp-12/180951But "only" 2.6 % on my 2nd account, spread was too high, MDP opened only one trade near the end of the show.http://www.myfxbook.com/members/Fred_Forex/mdp-12-broker2/195878No need to give up on this system...
what currency to deposit into the brokerage firm?

No, one account could be enough. But I am not sure, where you problem is:- Base Currency of your trading account? Look for a broker where the base currency can be in your favored currency.- Conversion of trade results to your account-currency? This will be done automatically by the broker at the time of closing of your trade with the current platform-exchange rate. Cheers

Ok, I was too early: Only losses in the 2nd wave, down 3.85 % and 3.43 % for the day. But I agree that better times will come for MDP.

Please note: I am updating the account manually to Myfxbook after I noticed that MDP has traded. That is because I think the update function would otherwise kick in after each modification/opening/closing which would cost some speed for the Metatrader platform. So sometimes this update might be considerably after the trading.

Hey folks,no trades for you today?-0.97 % 1st broker, +0.13 % 2nd broker. And: positive slippage at the last orders with 2nd broker!Order execution/modification time is about 500 ms there and they are also properly regulated. They claimed they would not have a problem with more MDP-users (ok, all brokers will probably claim that before 😄) as they have a extremely fast MT4-bridge (which most of the other brokers not use and that latency to "real" markets is the problem for MDP, I guess, not whether your have 2 ms or 15 ms latency to the broker from your MT4-platform. I am using...

Just to chip in: 1st broker today: +0.3 % (0.7 % for the month), 2nd broker +4,4% (+10% for the month), same settings. So MDP still works, but it will not work forever with the same (internal) settings. For how much longer is the question and will William still provide updates as he now promotes his new EA? - I had a phone call with my 2nd broker's representative yesterday and he meant the S/L of MDP is too tight. I don't totally agree as the tight S/L also keeps the losses small. With a higher S/L the whole profitability of the system could be gone.Happy trading!

What happened with your MDP-trade yesterday (23.01.) at 10:38? Minus 41.1 pips! Broker problem or VPS problem?

@rootkit: Sorry, I don't want to share the name of the 2nd broker. But maybe they aren't that good after all ...@kimleow: Your right, I am satisfied wiith it. I only experienced it once with Alpari UK, that I complained of a S/L not being triggered at the exact price, but the price gapped through it. They just nulled the trade and reimbursed the total loss of around 450 EUR! 😄But I guess, every broker does it differently and it also depends on the reason of your complaint.

- 2% first broker, -6.4% 2nd broker!Today my 2nd broker was worse than the first; usually it is the other way round.I had two sets of loosing trades on MDP 1.2 with the 2nd broker. Furthermore there was a server downtime of about 20 minutes when the 2nd wave was open! They at first closed them at the next price after the server came up at around 1.2983, but when I complained immediately they gave me the price of the S/L that MDP tried to reach when it lost connection. That was about the same S/L-price as at the first broker.I was reimbursed within 4 hours, that's what I call good customer-...

Hey folks,I have been only reading in this thread for weeks and gathered some very good input about MDP settings and brokers, thanks everybody. I therefore decided to make my two MDP live-accounts public to show neebies that MDP works (but you should lower the risk and find your working settings). The name of the broker where I am running my first account is widely known, but don't ask me the name of the 2nd 😄.Happy trading for all!Fred

Hey geektrader, sorry to see you gave up on MDP! I still like it because of the fast trades and the resulting short-term market-exposure. You will quickly know whether you win or loose ...I found another good broker for it, by the way. But I won't share the name publicly 😄Happy trading!

Good broker - for MT4 standards.Fast order execution, but spread on the high side (for EURUSD mostly 2.1, but I am getting getting good rebates 😄).They built some additional gimmicks and scripts + indicators in their MT4 which are quite useful. I intend to stay.
