Swing Trader PRO System

I think I will pass due to draw down other traders experience. 5 to 7 days is too long to keep open a trade, especially in the red going south. Trades kept open over 1-2 days is gambling unless firmly into the trend and entered on pivot or SR going into green zones. If trades are open for 5-7 days then how would you prepare for major news announcements? Maybe the indicator would be safer if reworked for lesser conditions, even to signal a fresh crossover on 2 TF's etc? No reason for week long trades with an NFP announcement coming, Your good results are luck, or your loss is assured, This ...

Six pages and it's still inconclusive. Are there any real users who can comment. We hear from Rob on the Channel Pro thread. Are there any others here who trade real money live and can comment. Nobody on demo please. Demo is too easy to kill out and restart with near term start dates. Looking for six month live real money users.

No not good. It is Evanxu9 private works which he shares with kindness to help us with our trading. Manual strategy is best in all regards. I am not sure the best way to test it since it uses discretion and visual rules which we will not be able to automate. The best way is probably to just observe and train the eye.

Or trade the EA in demo and wait for the right price to enter manually in the same direction it is trading, only if you understand the rules of the EA. Trade it when in DD. Even the winners have experience DD before profit. Rarely did it go straight to profit. If I had more time I would do so.

Hi Evanxu9,Thank you again for a nice template. I always follow the red and yellow rules and it has brought me much. Many many reps to your credit sir!!Just a quick question. How do you use the white scalp line? I am not really a scalper but after all this time I would not mind learning a little about the scalp part of the template. Thanks,Bigsteve

I guess the EA no longer works or is struggling with something. The public account to me looks too nice to have to close and reopen another one. I asked the vendor on his website and here in MFXBook a few times why there are no trades since 8/24, and I have been following. Maybe the vendor is away, I don't know. I did not ever receive a reply anywhere to my many inquiries. Hopefully the vendor can come back to his thread sometime, or at least update his public account and not bleep out any bad periods of loss. Honesty is appreciated, even if it is not a good result sometimes.

Hi Tradeways,I began following in mid August and now noticing there are no trades since August 24th.Is there any reason, or the EA did not see any trade opportunity?

It isn't that I think Keltner was bad it's not the reason I turned it off. It's because you can't always have it going up up up up up. Things correct themselves, including the up curves. At new highs I always shut it down for a while until the end of the next DD period. Just a suggestion.

Say what you will. This bot is up considerably since last October. It can go down just a little more. Open up the attachment I posted. The time to turn it off is at equity high, which is just what I did. Turning it off at high DD now will only cut you off from the recovery period. When the recovery begins I will turn it back on. Be careful about the Greek thing going on. If the EU crisis is Greek to you then just remember it's more Greek to the Greeks themselves. A little less risk for now is suitable given the environment. See Jared's previous post on how to cut risk with Keltner. In ...

I don't know how writing lower volume bars into the EA would compensate for loss or filter out fake outs. Was it not the same EA code that made lots of money in the past? Maybe it would help, but maybe not. Lets consider that cautious money has stepped to the side due to the Greece resolution and the fact that the EU uses weekend trading to drop the bomb on the rest of us. Banks trade over the weekend and we are not allowed to trade those days. Maybe take a break for a while. The EU is swirling around the top of the toilet bowl waiting for Merkel to push the flush button. Smart money knows...

Yes that's 100% true. I am prepared to keep it of at least until June and even beyond June.My apprehension is that there will be bad news over a weekend and with banks trading 24/7 it is possible to be caught out on the wrong side, or worse, not have an LP side left like the SNB contagion. It does seem the EU uses weekends to bring about all the spoilers, elections, bad news, threats etc etc. But then again everything could be fine. I just don't know so I will error on the side of caution and bow out for a while. This risk is not normal.

I'm flat and turned off Keltner at least until the hot mess with the Euro is somewhat over.My feelings are until Greece comes clean with a plan, that risk in forex is flapping in the wind like a bed sheet on a clothes line.
