yes FGB has an advanced version that allows you to change and modify certain settings etc. Several people on this forum have modified the settings to improve the results. I have attached the template for the "Josep" settings for FGB. You need FGB advanced for it to work.

while pairs may look the same short term, long term they are totally different - some trend more, others move sideways more. Some are more volatile and react more to news etc etc etc each pair is different.

Attached are my optimization results for FGB on AUD USD. I haven't done more work on EUR USD as others already have.... MT4 died about 40 hours in and missed a few passes in the end, but you can see the results. The data range was 1jan 2011 to 1 jan 2012... I'm now working my way backwards over the other years...

the problem exists with many of these multi bank feed places as most of the small banks on their network are only good up to 5 lots, then less up to 10 lots.... the higher the lot size the less banks that will accept the fill making slippage higher etc.

I downloaded some tick data and after much stuffing around got it sorted.... the results for USD CHF and EUR JPY are lame.... I'm going to run some opts over night and I'll let you know if I come up with anything good

Hi,Has anyone done any testing on any other pairs? My data is lame and I can only get about 5 months of data from pepperstone. EUR JPY, USD CHF both seem pretty good. Can anyone test them for me please? using Josep settings - 3,60,3,0.36,0.17 smart exit false ??

Received an email just now about a Synergy FX promo. 30% - seems pretty massive. The required lots isnt too bad as its 1 lot per $10 bonus basically so its like you get 1 pip back.... what makes it interesting is that you get the bonus and the rebate from Refund FX. So you get basically 1 pip back from Synergy FX and 0.35 pip back from Refund FX. So 1.35 pip back.... Their spread at the moment is 1.5.. hmmmm I wonder if it ever goes under 1.35 and I can arb on the rebate...

I have a live account with them. I have not had any problems with them.... I see that you have complained about them on a few different threads.... maybe you should complain directly to them ;)
