Not a live account, no. At least I don't believe so. However, you DO need to send them all the relevant information that you would normally have to send to open a live account. Perhaps they DO open a live account for you once you're verified but I'm not sure. Either way, it's ridiculous and should not be expected. It's unheard of and retarded.

Read the past 5 pages dude... they require you to verify your account with photo id's, phone text verification and proof of address. Yes... for a DEMO account. Without that, you can't trade.

Yes, it is a joke. This contest, while having the potential to benefit a couple of contestants via a win, is here to benefit *them* the broker. To get them potential clients and generate publicity and leads. So far - fail. See, that's all there is to it. Send them a bunch of personal info, phone number, photos of your ID and THEN you're allowed to sign up to their DEMO account and get hounded by their sales staff. As you can see, they're really smart.

Because you didn't verify your account by sending them all your personal information with 2 forms of gov't ID and proof of address so that they could sell your info and spam the hell out of you with sales letters and calls. Ok, so I just talked with one of the help guys and apparently you have to verify your account... Are you kidding me? We have to send in verification proof of identity documents ... For a contest? Not once have I ever had to do this and I don't think I've seen a contest on here that required this. That's ridiculous.

Hola jason. I meant to reply on Fri but something came up. After seeing your post I went "ooooh, right right" and went and checked my settings and you're right I had it set to 40 which in reality was 4 so, just for giggles and the other thing I set it to I think 200 just to see if that would solve anything aaaand it did. My entry did in fact trigger and as you had claimed in another post where you posted stats of the slippage as sometimes being in the clients favor, I actually entered short with a 10 pip total slip in my favor ha!. Apologies for the heated posts earlier :)

That makes 0 sense dude. First off, that's great that you can report that their live feed works fantastically. It does make me feel a bit better. However, if you're this whizbang pro trader that handles other peoples money as you say you do which, I have no reason to doubt at all, you'd be well aware of the fact that demo accounts aren't just for practice but a good 'dip your toe in the water' test for how a brokers feeds are. To say that people getting worked up over the errors in a demo feed is somehow proof that they don't have real money to trade is quite frankl...

I'm done with this contest... I may not have won but I may have been interested in moving to FXCMM seeing as how they have a much larger availability of pairs as well as other instruments to trade compared to my broker but I have to say, if this is their demo feed I would be absolutely terrified of their live feed. So far I have, 3 times in two days, not been able to open an order before during and 30 minutes after a news trade. I've even set my slippage to 40 pips. FORTY PIP SLIPPAGE AND I STILL GET OFF QUOTES... AND ON A DEMO FEED. JESUS.. H.yesterday it was USDCAD and USDCHF... and...

Well, if they charge a small spread and couple that with a commission, doesn't it make sense that their contest on their platform would reflect their pricing model??If they didn't then they'd get people from the contest opening a live account with them and then getting upset because "wait a minute! what's with all this commission bollox?!
