Changed the settings for this last Friday after analysing the trades that had been carried out during August. Hopefully the new settings should improve the performance.
In order to allow me to assess the new settings I've changed the custom date filter.

Thanks!
Still in alpha development this little baby.
I think there is still room to improve the entry and the exits but I'm happy with the way it's progressing now.
Let's give it another month and then see what I can tweak.

10.58% gain in two weeks with only 1% risk per trade.
Next week I plan to start work on tightening up the exit strategy as I feel I'm losing too many pips on the exit.

Caught the secondary move upwards on EurJpy, 93 pip winner.
Close to 19% return in less than one month with only a 1% equity risk per trade.
I am going to be starting a smallish live account for this within the next few days. It's officially moving into beta test phase.

Hi Soeren,
Yep, not sure what happened this week. Guess the markets have been choppy. It's a shame as well as it was really starting to do well. Hopefully it will just be a blip on chart and things will start picking up again.

I decided to add GbpJpy into the mix last week to see how it performed. To date that's starting to look like a mistake as it's already the worst performing pair. I guess it must be too volatile to use such tight stops with.
It's actually beginning to look as though this EA might work better trading purely the GbpUsd with a higher risk than the current 1% on this trial. However, let's give it a while longer to see how it pans out long term.
I'm also working on another version of this EA which incorporates a Pip Velocity indicator I have written. It uses a 5 pip stop loss and a very tight trailing stop and tries to capture one of two trade types.
1) Fast breakouts after a period of ranging behaviour.
2) Part of a fast trending move already in progress.
So far forward tests are looking good. I'm capturing all trades along with the pip velocity at the time of trade entry in order to analyse the data and determine good entry characteristics. This is necessary as it's impossible to backtest this EA. Relying as it does on tick data. I'll let it run as it is for the remiander of this month, calibrating as I go.

I'm going to draw this test to a close as it's not working as well as it was initially and focus my efforts on a version for scalping GbpUsd and EurUsd which I have been working on over the last few weeks.
